INSPIRATION FOR CREATING A BRAND

ONE REPUBLIC LOGO

Their logos are black and white and have very clear

typography. Their logo to the right is very artistic and I like

how it looks like a piece of art. The logo at the bottom is very graphical and the letters

have been constructed similar to blocks and the

basic shapes make it very eye catching and gives a

’new’ feel.

OTHER POP/ROCK BANDS

These logos are also just black and white, also making them eye catching and clear to see. Shapes have been used here as well , l ike

for the majority of Paramore’s and Fall Out Boys’ logo, making it the most recognisable thing. Fall Out Boys’ logos are is shaped like a

crown and cards. I l ike the typography used for Kings of

Leon’s logo because it looks very smooth and it has unique

character. I l ike the use of black text on white backgrounds

because it is very bold and along with the correct images, it can

look create the correct them to go along with the music video.

OTHER POP/ROCK BANDS

I l ike the use of the colours in the rainbow along with dark coloured backgrounds. This add l ife into the logo. I also l ike the use of a single

colour to accompany the black and white, which red is really effective for because it makes it

more visually piercing. I prefer the colour being part of the background or part of an object,

rather than there being rainbow text because it can look quite childish and unprofessional.

TYPOGRAPHY USED BY DIFFERENT BANDS

I like Paramore’s typography because it looks

handwritten, making it like a personal signature. The

boldness and thickness of Coldplay’s text would be a

replacement for a logo because it has its own

realistic, graphical design

I like this typography because it looks

handwritten or printed. This realism makes it

very visual and unique. This would be used for my logo or if not, I will

be using it on my digipak. I once again like the black and white and

how it contrasts perfectly, making it

clear.

I loved this fingerprint design because it is very

personal and I could physically make it myself. The only trouble with this

would be that the text would be very thick. A way I could

work around this would be to cut out the letters from the

fingerprints.

The use of graphics to form a letter is very

artistic but the trouble for this would be picking out enough images to fill at least one letter. It can also be unclear especially if the text is going to

be normal size.

I absolutely love this because it is very

unique. The trouble with this would be that I

would have to physically make these in ice packs and out them on surface

then take pictures. I would have to ensure the

background is the correct colour for it to

show up once melted but also that it goes with the

poster or digipak
