(www.newcon‐optik.com ), has an exciting opportunity for a Quality Control Inspector.
QUALITY CONTROL INSPECTOR
At Newcon Optik, the Quality Control Inspector plays a critical role to our ongoing success. As a leading
producer of electro‐optical products in the defence industry, we consistently strive to develop and
manufacture products that help our customers gain a tactical edge in the field. Our products are deployed
around the world, often in situations in which our customers’ lives depend on their performance.
The successful candidate will have the following qualifications:
Minimum 2 years of experience in QA/QC or testing role is a must.
Work experience in the optomechanics or electro‐optical field is an asset;
Have a College Diploma in Quality Control or Quality Assurance;
Familiarity with ISO procedures and QC standards;
Display a serious commitment to maintaining current professional skills and a desire to learn;
Possess good knowledge of electro‐optical devices, hands on experience with various optical
equipment is recommended;
Excellent verbal & written communication skills;
Have extremely strong interpersonal skills and enjoy working closely in a team environment;
Have a proven ability to manage multiple priorities and strict deadlines;
Be a fluent English speaker, reader and writer; knowledge of other languages is an asset e.g.
French, Russian, Mandarin etc.
Reporting directly to the Vice President, Technical Director, the Quality Control inspector will:
Perform Newcon Optik’s product inspection procedures after the manufacturing process, as part
of QA control, during engineering development and as part of post‐sale product returns;
Conduct testing of the electronics systems after the SMT process;
Execute incoming inspection and control for key optical, mechanical and electronic components;
Create logs and reports for all conducted tests and inspections;
Ensure customer and client requirements are understood and met;
Monitor the acceptance rate for products released by the Production Department and write
preventive and corrective action plans when required;
Identify opportunities to improve products or reduce costs using knowledge gained during
inspection and testing processes;
Assist in establishing new quality procedures, standards, and specifications.
