    (MOHE), esablished in 2004, is

    responsible or all eriary educaion

    in Malaysia. According o he curren

    Miniser o Higher Educaion, Dao

    world-class higher educaion o produce

    more researchers, scieniss, engineers,

    proessionals, specialiss, and skilled

    insiuional excellence.

    According o MOHE, approximaely

    900,000 sudens currenly pursue heir

    higher educaion in 20 public universiies,

    33 privae universiies and universiy

    colleges, our oreign universiy branch

    campuses, 22 polyechnics, 37 communiy

    colleges, and abou 500 privae

    colleges. According o gures rom heDeparmen o Saisics Malaysia, only

    24.2 per cen o he labour orce in he

    counry had atained a higher educaion

    degree by 2010, or 2,788,700 ou o 11,517,200

    people.

    The larges share o he labour orce

    received secondary educaion as he

    highes atained level o ormal educaion,

    namely 55.7 per cen. The remaining 20.1

    per cen did no receive any degree o

    ormal schooling higher han primary

    school level.

    higher education sector by trying to ensure that all qualifed students have access to it.

    Loans and scholarships were made available or students enrolled in both public and

    private higher education institutions to increase the overall participation rate.

    Teriary educaion in Malaysia is

    A: The UTM Global Plan 2012 -2020 is o

    prepared or this?

    saus company. He obained his Bachelors

    Degree in Elecrical Engineering rom

    UTM in 1989. His enrepreneurial pursui

    is refeced in his companys in-house

    research and developmen capabiliies andhome-grown echnological innovaion,

    wih srong capabiliies in business

    managemen, business relaions and

    policies.

    do you think would beneft the most
