With the W+D BB700, it is possible to ideally bring two worlds together: transactional mail and direct mail. Reliable processing
of important documents is just as much a part of the W+D BB 700’s range of services as processing unusual advertising
supplements. From the inline affixing of customer cards to inline personalization, processing of insurance policies with variable
thickness or special applications such as photos of different sizes and quantity – almost no material is too difficult for the W+D
BB700 to handle.
The latest servo technology in the W+D BB700 S2 multi-format envelope inserting system ensures the
seamless integration and function of every desired S2 individual module. The result is a flexible inserting system
that offers maximum productivity, processing reliability and user-friendliness. With an output of up to 16,000
envelopes per hour, regardless of the envelope format, it handles all tasks with unsurpassed reliability and
performance – quickly, flexibly and intelligently.

W+D-HMI
The W+D BB700’s completely new graphical operating panel
allows intuitive and simple machine operation. All key production
data can be seen at a glance on the modern 22-inch touchscreen
display. Work progress and the remaining time for the current job
are displayed graphically and numerically, as well the number of
good pieces and ejected products on the belt. The production
cockpit provides the operator with a complete overview at all
times. The cameras for code reading are configured easily and
centrally on the control panel.

Powerful input channels
The high modularity and flexibility are continued in the
selection of the input channels. For the BB700, modern input
channels are available for single-sheet and continuous input
processing (pinfeed and pinless) and ensure high net output.
Designed for reading, collecting and folding personalized
documents, they are compact and easy to use. A camera
in the channel processes all common codes. Based on the
reading information, a variable number of sheets is collected
and folded if necessary. In the continuous processing of C4
applications, the documents coming from the channel are
rotated 90° clockwise or counterclockwise via an integrated
rotation module, if required, without the material flow stopping.
So-called two-channel or multi-channel solutions are used for
special applications.
Fold plates for exact folding
Perfect folding results at maximum speed are achieved by
the folding modules with two- or four-fold plates. Depending
on the design, these modules can fold up to 10 sheets
simultaneously in half fold or 6 - 8 sheets in double fold, before
utilizing subsets (also as a standard feature). The fold variants
Z-fold, wrapped fold, half-fold or double parallel fold and, for
special applications, cross fold, are possible.
Autoloader
The W+D SL2 Autoloader is the perfect upgrade for your W+D
inserting system. It is positioned 90° to the running direction
and can be coupled with various feeder models such as RF, HF,
CF and SF: Multiple autoloaders can be used on a single system.
The SL2 Autoloader reduces substantially the feeder loading
frequency. Furthermore, constant fill level in the feeder ensures
trouble-free operation and increases efficiency and output.
Vertical delivery OC4
Especially at high speeds, “upright” product delivery is an
invaluable advantage. The OC4 is the only vertical delivery
solution that will reliably also handle 9 x 12” applications.
The capacity of the vertical stacker is a multiple of a shingle
conveyor, resulting in a dramatically reduced clearing frequency
and effort-resulting in a substantially increased operator and
system productivity. A kicker for a physical offset on a ZIP or
tray break is a standard component of the OC4.
Tray assist PT4
The post box loading unit W+D PT4 is an ergonomic addition to
the W+D OC4. Envelopes for a tray, offset on the OC4, can be
shifted even to the PT4 and dropped into a tray or a box, by a
bomb bay gate.

Feeders
Servo drive technology and true modularity are characteristic
features of the W+D BB700 and its functional components –
an advantage that is particularly noticeable with the feeders.
Thanks to the possibility of free positioning and quick and easy
swap between feeder types, it is highly flexible and equipped
for almost any task configured to job. Whether you process
personalized catalogs of different thicknesses, election
documents, smooth photo paper, folded inserts or gimmicks,
the feeders from W+D won’t let you down.
Rotary feeder RF 2
This feeder family primarily processes single sheets and
products with the folded edges closed in running direction.
However, it is also possible to process inserts with the edge
open towards the running direction and closed parallel to
the running direction – ‘Italian fold.’ The feeders can also be
positioned 90° to the machine running direction or in the left-
hand version against the running direction.
Friction feeder HF 2
The W+D HF2 is designed for processing a wide variety of
inserts products with an open edge in the running direction,
such as Z-folded single sheets, thicker brochures and rigid
products that cannot be processed via a rotary feeder.
Shuttle feeder SF 2
This is the feeder for rigid objects such as perfect bound books,
catalog and special applications or CDs in the jewel box.
Pick and place feeder
The perfect feeder for the precise placement of credit or
loyalty cards, luggage tags, membership cards or coins, etc.
Catalog feeder CF 2
The W+D CF2 catalog feeder is a special feeder ideally
designed for reliable processing of brochures in the formats
A5-A4 with variable thicknesses of 1-10 mm (¹/₂₅“ - ⁴/₁₀“).
Vacuum transport on the gathering section
The modular vacuum conveyor belt on the gathering section
allows inline personalization/printing or affixing of cards, coins,
tags, note pads etc. at high running speeds and with high
precision and offers the possibility of camera verification on
the unit.
Turnover belt on the gathering section
A turnover belt on the gathering section is also available where
inline affixing or printing applications requires a change in
product orientation.
