The batteries can be easily recharged with a standard battery charger and mobile mains-independent operation is possible. * with the required extras ** to operate the 3D-GeoSense system, an additional counter is required The sewer analysis software IKAS evolution is subject to con- tinuous improvement. So media folders which the system can access without any extra import can now be created. Existing target media can also be registered. For example, existing data can easily be adopted from IKAS32 in this way. The reference data of sewer sections can be output in flow direction or against the flow. This does away with the need for complicated calcula- tions, so potential errors are reduced to a minimum. The distance values from the start and end of a section can be indicated in the section graphics. So here too, calculations are superfluous. Similarly, descriptions can now be overlaid in the section graphics and the current position of the film during replay is also clearly indicated in the graphics. The layout of the reports has been opti- mised (number of photos per page, display of the manhole plan, etc., etc.). Several features in the handling in inspection mode have been made easier for the user. Thus, for example, the mas- ter data of an object last inspected can be adopted if wished. There are also further support functions for the input of secti- on lengths and manhole depths and the use of hotkey shortcuts has been optimised. In the field of data transfer there have also been some useful improvements. So it is now possible to freely configure the names of PDF files so that they can be adapted to suit e.g. the specifications of the customer. For data transfer, the presentation quality of the section graphics has been improved and many settings from IKAS evolution are adopted in the IKAS evolution Viewer. This means that it is no longer necessary to en- ter configurations twice (e.g. the colours of sewer objects, sizes of station symbols, sizes and scales of inscriptions). In the new version, texts can be extracted from the network plan so that they can be freely positioned. The object designators of a sewer object can also be freely selected. Therefore, inscriptions can be individually configured according to the user‘s requirements. The performance of the 3D-Viewer has been considerably improved and various points in the graphics sector have been further en- hanced for greater clarity. IKAS evolution now supports very many modules and interfaces of the types ISYBAU96, ISYBAU-XML, DWA-M150, EURODSS, WRc, IKIS4, etc. and even condition classification and analysis functions have been widely implemented. The IBAK sewer data manager IKIS and the IKAS sewer analysis software can now also communicate with each other in both directions, which immen- sely facilitates the exchange of data. With the SanPlan extension, IKAS evolution evolves into an extensive and professional rehabi- litation planning tool and with IKAS Cleaner it becomes a valuable companion and planning tool for sewer cleaning operations. The latest integrated function is the continuous profile analysis with which the LaserScan pipe deformation data from the new OR- PHEUS 2 can be analysed and displayed in a clear form. In this way, IKAS evolution is growing into a more and more comprehen- sive software tool that supports the user in all conceivable areas of sewer analysis, data management and rehabilitation planning. The new axial camera is available in two different versions. The AxialCam model is a push rod camera for operation in DN 50 pipes upwards and is designed for simple inspections. • ORPHEUS 2 ORPHEUS 2 HD ASPECTANanoGator

The ASPECTA is a manhole zoom camera (also known as an electronic sewer mirror) and is a further extension to the IBAK product portfolio. Besides normal sewer inspection, it is now possible to have a look into associated sewers from a manhole without having to enter it. The ASPECTA is used to check the operational status and can be utilized for instance to plan needs based sewer cleaning and additional inspection measures. Thus, the ASPECTA is a simple, rapid and low cost instrument for scheduling required measures. Thanks to the high zoom factor (40 x) and the lighting which is adequate even in large diameter sewers, a view is also possible into parts of sewer sections a long way from the manhole. The distance to specific locations can be determined by means of a laser measuring system. The camera is placed in the manhole with the aid of a telescopic rod and positioned in front of the sewer. A mounted base to place the camera in the invert and a motor-driven pan mechanism make for easier, precise handling. The standard exchangeable storage bat-tery used is an uncomplicated form of power supply, as batteries can be easily obtained and charged. The ASPECTA is operated via the well-proven control console that is also used for MiniLite 2. All camera functions and inputs are performed via the 10 inch

The ORPHEUS 2 is the new, efficient all-rounder in the IBAK port-folio. In comparison to its predecessor, it impresses above all by a higher resolution and high light sensitivity. As a result, it is ideally suited to provide a high quality camera image and best possible inspections. The ORPHEUS 2 has very good illumination so the additional ligh-ting used hitherto in large diameter pipes is no longer required. Illumination is provided by 12 power LEDs that can be switched on and off flexibly in groups as required. In addition the camera is equipped with integrated joint gap ligh-ting and temperature-controlled light. This prevents the camera from overheating at maximum light intensity. The camera can be used in DN 150 to DN 2000 pipes and is th-erefore versatile in operation. It features the proven functionali-ties of the ORPHEUS such as full rotatability of the camera head, automatic panning to inspect joints and automatic return to zero position.

The NanoGator is a useful extension to the IBAK Robotics port-folio for cutting operations in laterals. For its design, completely new aspects were taken into consideration. It impresses prima-rily by its bend-passing and direction-changing capability even in small diameter pipes. Thus, great importance was laid on best possible manoeuvrability in small branching pipes with diameters of DN 100 upwards. The NanoGator is equipped with a cutting and grinding motor that requires little space but is very powerful. It is water-cooled and optimally suited to its field of application. It is a brushless EC motor that can be operated at up to 20,000 rpm. Two cameras make for optimum handling. They make it possible to view cutting operations from various angles. In addition, the ca-meras can be cleaned during operation so that an optimum view is ensured without having to keep taking the cutter out of the pipe for cleaning. The geometry and active control of the movements of the robot enable the NanoGator to navigate easily to the site of the cutting operations and back out of the lateral even in bent pipes. Only very small entry points are required to introduce the robot. The unique, easy slide NanoGator combi push rod ensures a long range. Permanent interior pressure monitoring and visual and acoustic indication of pressure loss duly prevent damage to the electronics. The system is operated conveniently with a joys-tick. Video and photo data can be saved.

touch display and the joystick. The IKAS Cleaner cleaning software is already in extensive use on many cleaning ve-hicles. It enables the job data acquired after cleaning to be transferred digitally to the sewer data manager software. This data can now be supplemented by the ASPECTA image information so that paper-free data communication is established between the cleaning ve-hicle and the information system. In this way, the cleaning results can be documented conclusively after clea-ning operations. However, information about the state of the sewer can also be made available to cleaning vehicle operators prior to cleaning. Thus, pre-paration and postprocessing will be possible in the future with even better software support.

The ORPHEUS 2 HD is the latest high resolution pan and rotate camera for the full HD sewer inspection system. IBAK is the pi-oneer of this technology on the market and provides a system with which videos can be created, transmitted, displayed, pro-cessed and archived in full HD quality. The ORPHEUS 2 HD camera is equipped with an image sensor in full HD format (1920 x 1080 = 2.08 million pixels) which has approximately 5 times as many pixels as a conventional PAL sensor. Picture transmission is entirely digital, from the generation of the image in the camera head through to display and storage in the control unit. There is no video compression in the camera. Thus, the camera image produced is of unrivalled quality in terms of resolution and colour fidelity. The full HD resolution of

the ORPHEUS 2 HD is transmitted via proven, robust optical fi-bre technology and is stored highly efficiently using the H.264 standard. With its vertical image resolution of 1080 pixels, the ORPHEUS 2 HD fulfils the requirements of the DWA advisory leaflet M149-5 for the inspection of large diameter pipes (e.g. the specified vertical resolution of at least 1000 pixels for DN 1000 pipes). Besides high resolution digital image generation, the ORPHEUS 2 HD has all the important functions of a con-ventional pan and rotate camera such as a 10x optical zoom, automated panning to inspect joints, automatic return to zero position and easy-to-handle laser measurement during inspec-tions in the sewer. All data are displayed and processed in the IKAS evolution software.

In addition it has a 10x optical zoom and an innovative laser mea-surement system with two lasers. With the LaserScan deforma-tion measurement, possible pipe deformations such as ovality or reduction of cross-section can be measured over the entire length of the sewer section. For evaluation purposes, ingenious software has been devised. This shows the results of the measurements in graphical form on the monitor and in a clearly arranged report.
