Vinythai Public Co., Ltd.GBU Emerging Biochemicalsoperate via
A leading manufacturer of chlor-alkali, PVC resins and bio-based ECH in ASEAN
Epicerol®: Bio-based Epichlorohydrin (ECH)
Epicerol® is bio-based epichlorohydrin produced
from renewable vegetable glycerol via Solvay’s
innovative and patented technology
Glycerol is a by-product of biodiesel and
oleochemicals, manufactured through the
transformation of vegetable oils
Epichlorohydrin is a chemical intermediate mainly
consumed in the production of epoxy resins for:
competitive drop-in for propylene-based ECH
Other epichlorohydrin derivatives include
surfactants for home & personal care, elastomer,
water treatment chemicals and paper chemicals

Bio-based ≠ Sustainable Purpose of RSB Certification
RSB is a global sustainability certification scheme which is
recognized as the strongest and the most trusted by NGOs.
Certification is based on the three pillars of sustainability:
SOCIAL
In areas of poverty, RSB ensures that the production of biomaterials enhances food
security and local livelihoods.
ENVIRONMENTAL
Certification mandates biodiversity preservation, as well as best practices in land and
water management.
ECONOMIC
RSB works with the private sector and its multi-stakeholder members to make sure that sustainability requirements remain efficient and practical to implement.

Epoxy resins - the most commonly used matrix
for Advanced Composites
Commercial Aircraft
Epoxy composites enable lighter aircraft because of the high strength-to-weight ratio and improved durability.
Off-Shore Wind Turbines
Epoxy resins provide better mechanical properties for longer blade lengths (improved stability, stiffness and fatigue resistance) compared to other alternatives.
Recreational Uses
Advanced composites are used in sporting equipment such as tennis rackets, golf club shafts, fishing rods and bicycle parts.
The Punch Powertrain Solar Team car
SHD Composite Materials Ltd. combined its expertise in pre-preg
