1. Accuracy: The content is reliable and factually correct because it was written by experts ( this website is part of the Perseus digital Library). There is cross-reference with other similar websites and encyclopedias.

2. Currency: this part of the website ‘the Ancient Olympics’(which might be an interesting resource for my future project) was written by Members of the Perseus Project who created an exhibit on the ancient Olympics in 1996, as a tribute to the Centennial Olympic Games held in Atlanta, Georgia.

3. Content: although this project is an interesting source of information both for students and teachers, the site might not be very stimulating or attractive for students because it was not made with the latest technology.

4. Functionality: it works properly.

According to the website popularity monitor, Hitwise UK, for the week ending February 3, 2007 it was the third most popular site for an education institution, behind the University of Aberdeen and the Open University, but ahead of learn direct. Woodlands Web was started as a hobby by Mandy Barrow, who knew little about computers and designing a website. Over the years her knowledge of web designing has grown alongside our ever growing website still run by Mandy in her spare time. They have received several awards.

2. Currency: Mandy is always updating and adding something new to the website. 3. Content: the site is interesting and stimulating. It is attractive and easy to navigate. The

colour combination, the logic of the links and visual structures are ok.4. Functionality: the site works well and i’ve found just only one broken link.

This website may be a useful resource for teachers (it has teachers resources) and parents.

This page is written by David White who is an education professional with a lifelong passion for social studies. He is also the former Guide to Social Studies for Kids at About.com.

2. Currency: It is not very clear if the content is up-to-date. 3. Content: the site is interesting as a teaching resource because it contains several links

however from the learner’s point of view this website might not be very attractive for them. It does not contain visuals, audio or multimedia.

4. Functionality: the site on the whole works well but some of the links to other internal or external content do not work properly. It does not load very quickly for learners.
