DUST REMOVAL TECHNOLOGY + FILTRATION

Risk of contamination under controlExtract from the technical pu-blication:CAV Oct 2011

What is the benefit of a secure filtration of lung-current, harmful or toxic dust and particulate mat-ter if contamination dangers for person and nature lurk with the dust disposal and the change of the filter media? The engineers of Infastaub asked themselves exactly this question and deve-loped the selfcleaning cartridge filter Infa-Micron MPR for sus-pended matters.

Many industrial production pro-cesses make the highest de-mands to the filtration of toxic dust or powders with active substances (API). The list of the dust coming to the separation is long, e.g., explosive, toxic, kanzerogene or mutagene so-lids, metals and treacly metals, active substances of the phar-maceutical industry and chemi-cal industry, the nuclear tech-nology, special waste disposal, etc. Beside the production poor in dust the interest grows in disposal technologies – above all when producing highly ac-tive substances. Mongolian delegation visiting Intensiv-FilterIn the province “Inner Mongolia“ beats the heart of the Chinese coal industry, iron industry and steel industry. The environmen-tal conditions there are marked by considerable air pollution. Among other things, this is caused by the biggest arch mine of Inner Mongolia, the biggest niobium mine of China and the worldwide biggest rare earth mine. Within the scope of the new 5-year plan, new and tightened emission limits apply. They necessitate to deal more and more detailed with the re-duction of industrial dust issues and an improvement of air qua-lity.

A business delegation from the Mongolian economic regi-on used their trip to Germany to gather information about the bag filter technology of Intensiv-Filter.

Lecture about energy effici-encyThe conference AUCBM enjoys great popularity to a rising num-ber of participants. In 2011 more than 500 participants were an-nounced. The core of the 3-day event were the numerous talks about modernisations or opti-misation of plants, environment al protection and industrial sa-fety as well as issue reduction. Dust removal for an ammo-nium sulphate production in the fertilizer industry

The plant manufacturer Thyssen Krupp Uhde is a specialist for the construction of ammonia and urea plants for the fertilizer industry. An installation of this kind is extended by an ammoni-um sulphate production for the company of AlexFert in Abukir, Egypt.

Intensiv-Filter received the or-der for several dust removal installations. A bag filter is pro-vided for the dry dust removal of the raw gas volume flow from the cooler and various aspira-tion points within the bulk con-veying system.

The preliminary removal of dust of the high-capacity cyclones and the adjacent wet scrub-ber system for dust removal of the exhaust gases occurs in a BACT-scrubber. The exhaust gases of the granulator are also dedusted in a BACT-scrubber.

A filter of the type IFJC with ProTex energy savings filter media (length 4.5 m) is used for the dry dust removal. This design has already often been proven in the fertilizer industry and also already operates with AlexFert. The filter is exposed with a volume flow of 90,000 m³/h with 63 ºC .

The dust removal of the dryer cyclone (94,000 m³/h) as well as the Granulators (54,000 m³/h) is carried out with wet scrubbers with a multielement venturizone.

The delivery is carried out in October, 2012 and the com-missioning is planned for April, 2013.

Dust removal of the spray dryerThe food manufacturer Fries-landCampina Domo is a speci-alist in the production of infant nutrition. During the coming ye-ars the production plants in Bei-len and Bedum will be expan-ded. This enables the company to double its production capaci-ty for total infant formulas. But also future quality requirements which are imposed by clients and by law already get realised. Part of the measures is a new spray tower in the plant Beilen. Intensiv-Filter received the or-der for the dust removal of this dryer.

The bag filter is laid out for a vo-lume flow of 176,000 m³/h and limits the issues on < 5 mg/m³ n.c. Commissioning is planned for October, 2012.

Order for dust removal of a lime shaft kilnThe „Fels-Werke“ are the se-cond largest lime producer in Germany. At the location hall especially high-quality limesto-ne is processed.

Within the scope of a farsighted environmental politics the com-pany installs a new dust remo-val installation for the lime shaft kiln of the lines 1 and 2. The or-der is handled by Intensiv-Filter Austria.

Intensiv-Filter has a new technical director

Theo Schrooten is the new tech-nical director of the technological department of In-tensiv-Filter.

Since August he co-ordinates in this function a team if tech-nicians and engineers. His spe-cial attention lies on expansion, strengthening and optimisation of the technical services of the dust removal expert Intensiv-Filter as well as on the deve-lopment of new products and components.

As an engineer of energy and process technology, Theo Schrooten disposes of a long-standing experience in filtrati-on and dust removal. Thus he worked since 1995 as head of the department process technology. Then he was re-sponsible for the high perfor-mance department technology. Schrooten is the successor of Dr. Gunnar-Marcel Klein. Thomas Blüggel, shareholder, comments pleased: „With Mr. Schrooten we could win an experienced colleague within the field of process technology, whose expertise is an important column for our company.“

Merry christmasChristmas time. Time to pause and to review the last year.

Christmas time. Time to look ahead, to identify new goals and to regain strength for new.

Christmas time. Time for best wishes:

For the christmas season peaceful moments.
