Drake Cement, LLC, located in Drake, Arizona, is one of the Southwest U.S.’ newest cement plants

Drake focuses exclusively on the production of Type II/V (LA) Portland cement

Medium to high volatile coal is used as the primary fuel

IAC provided 34 baghouses, air-to-air heater exchanger, conveyors, rotary valves, fans, dampers, and custom steel fabrication for the project

Drake Cement’s raw material consists of 72% High Limestone and 26% Low Limestone materials mined from the Drake quarry. There is a 17 day covered storage reserve equivalent to approximately 51,000 tons

IAC provided a total of 31 dust handling and nuisance dust filters on the project. Each had 8 ft. long bags

All were designed with 70 degree hoppers and were factory insulated to promote discharge of material, avoiding condensation effects due to dramatic shifts in the nighttime and daytime desert temperatures

Drake Cement has a railroad and tr uck discharge system to unload limestone from outside sources, as well as other raw materials and coal sourced from Colorado and neighboring Western states

The plant has a 32 day reserve of clinker storage which includes a covered clinker dome of 50,000 tons and an emergency stock silo of 13,800 tons

The Drake plant has a railroad and truck discharge system to unload limestone from outside sources, as well as other raw materials and coal sourced from Colorado and neighboring Western states

Cement dispatch can be done simultaneously to two bulk trucks and to one bulk railcar at the same time. Silos are fed via bucket elevator and airslide conveyors

Texas EMC Products is located adjacent to Texas Genco’s Limestone Power Plant near Jewett, Texas.

The plant utilizes a patented process to prepare pozzolans for use as supplementary cementitious materials that replace Portland cement in amounts up to 60%. Fly ash is conveyed directly from the power plant to the EMC production facility.

The 150,000 TPY plant commissioned in September 2004, was erected by IAC.

Texas EMC Products employs a new technology which consists of mechanically processing a blend of ordinary portland cement (PC) and a pozzolan (Class F fly ash) through multiple high intensity grinding mills.

The process imparts an increased surface activa- tion of the PC and the pozzolan particles.

These 100 hp vibrating ball mills provide the mixing and grinding of the blend.

IAC provided turnkey installation of two bolted 39 ft. diameter x 101 ft. tall silos, each with 50 deg. hopper bottoms on the island of Curacao, in the Dutch Antilles.

Cement is transferred from bulk carrier ship through a 10 in. convey line directly to the 5500 tonnes of storage at the port.

Lincolnway Energy in Nevada, IA, is one of only five coal fired dry grind ethanol plants in the U.S. The plant has a nameplate production capacity of 50,000,000 gallons of ethanol per year and has been operating at least 10% above nameplate since being commissioned.

The plant utilizes approximately 300 tons of coal per day, all of which is delivered by truck. Lincolnway has coal storage for approximately 6 days of continuous ethanol production. IAC erected the coal unloading and storage facility and coal ash handling system.

IAC Soil remediation plants can be direct fired, indirectly fired, portable, stationary, & skid-mounted for simplified relocation.
