BIG SCAVENGER HUNT
On Saturday, February 15th, ITTHC held our famous “Scavenger Hunt, Chili Supper and Bingo” event. The first part of
the annual event was the all-day “Scavenger Hunt”. Twelve brave hunters ventured out in the weather to see what they
could find anywhere and everywhere. At 4:30 p.m. they congregated to display their finds in hopes of winning silver
coins from the categories drawn. There were lots of coins, trash, some treasure and lots of imagination to boot!
Tim Adams & Roger Eaton drew from a large list of categories and John Hayworth handed out the silver dimes. Some
highlights of the finds were 51 pull tabs, $15.00+ in face U.S. coins, 42 aluminum cans, 23 nails, oldest foreign coin
(1883), 2 silver rings, 49 bottle caps, and a “Most Unusual Find” of a gold cap tooth.
What a great way to spend a Saturday in February, digging in the dirt and winning silver dimes for trash as well as
treasure and then being able to feast on at least 15 different types of chili and a variety of desserts and then sharing a night of bingo with fellow members and friends. It was another great event again this year. Thanks to all who helped
make it possible. Also, thank you very much for those that brought chili it was all very good.
B-I-N-G-O
Following the annual scavenger hunt and chili supper, 55+ club members and family members settled in for a fun night
of playing “Bingo”. With over 39 member-donated prizes and $300 in prize money provided by the Club, all eyes were
focused on their paper cards in hopes of being the next to shout out “Bingo” and win.
Gary Young did the calling and the spinning of the bingo cage & Roger Eaton announced the different games that were
to be played. Jean Dick helped with organizing the prizes and keeping the committee from losing track of where they
were on each of twenty games played.
There were some lucky multiple winners: Gary Young family, Bob Cook family. Jim Niessen won the metal detector,
donated by Chuck Marcum, on the blackout game. Chris Willaby won the $112.00 from the 50/50 raffle.
Thanks to Terry Humphries for bringing the paper cards and Gary Carnes for providing the raffle cage and equipment
for our fun-filled event. For certain, it was a lively night full of laughter, camaraderie and friendship.

Treasure Hunters Workshop at the Three Rivers Museum in Muskogee
On Saturday morning Feb 22nd Thirteen members from Three Forks
Treasure Hunters Club - Indian Territory Treasure Hunters Club - Tulsey
Town Treasure Hunters Club arrived at the Three Rivers Museum to
show off their displays and answer questions about metal detecting to the
curious public. There were quite a few people that wondered thru and
looked over the displays and asked several questions about metal
detecting. Larry Koch must have had fifteen people outside for probably
forty five minutes showing them how to operate a metal detector. Wally
Dick and Lloyd Coke helped this lady that brought in a very old Whites
Coinmaster 6000 DI machine. She was very appreciative for the
information. All in all it was quite a success.

Maysville Ark. Camp Walker Outing
I.T.T.H.C. Treasure News Page 8
Well the weather was not as good as last years outing
to Camp Walker. High temperature was only in the
upper 40’s and a wind of about 25 mpg all day. The
digging was a little more difficult in the pasture areas
due to the dry conditions. But the cultivated fields
were easy digging. Again members got to see how
moderate to high conductive (mineralized) soil
conditions affect their detectors. And a good time was
had by all.
Camp Walker was a Civil War camp established in
June 1861 by General Nicholas Price, a Benton
County man, to train recruits from Western Arkansas
and the Indian Nations. This general area, much more
area than the 500 acres we had access, was used by
both Confederate and Federal forces throughout the
war.
We had 27 ITTHC members in attendance for the
outing. Again did not get checked out with all that
attended. From what I did get to see and what was
emailed there were probably another 50 to 100 bullets
found this year. Ranging from pistol balls,
Remington .36 cal. pistol bullets (Teardrop), .69 cal.
"round ball thingies", Minie´ bullets of various
calibers including Sharps Carbine tie rings, Merrell
Carbines, Enfields, and others.
There were more coins found this time due to starting
in closer proximity to the 3 or 4 old house sites that
are on the property. Some of the coins found were an
1839 Half Dime, 1897 Barber Quarter, a 1908 Barber
Dime, Nickels, and Wheat Cents.
We had a member lose an iPhone at the outing and
had to have AT&T shut it down to keep the cows
from running up the bill by calling their sacred
brethren in India.
Hope everyone had a good time. And if you missed
this outing, don't miss the next one.
PICS FROM THE HUNT ARE ON
THE NEXT THREE PAGES.
Jean Dick has ask that someone volunteer to replace her in the running
of the 50/50 raffle. She has been doing
this for a few years and would like to retire and sit back and enjoy the
meetings. This job isn’t really all that
difficult and Jean will train you to do this. Also, the only time that is
involved is at the meetings plus you get
to meet some of the other members and
possibly learn their names.
