Dear Incoming Integrated Geometry Students, To better prepare for your high school mathematics entry process, summer work is assigned to ensure an easier transition into DHS mathematics courses. The expectation is that all students bring the completed assignment to their first math class in the Fall of 2014. What if I have trouble with the packet? If you are taking the Honors or Accelerated level geometry, there might be problems that you have not learned how to do. There is an expectation that you will review the instructional resources and attempt the problems. If you need help completing any problems, you have several options: • Visit the DHS Math Department homepage to link to examples, explanations, and instructional videos • Click the blue links contained in the electronic version of this document • Use the copy of the textbooks available at the Duxbury Free Library Please keep in mind that non-calculator problems need to be completed without the use of any type of calculator. All answers must be justified by showing all work. A TI-83(plus) or 84(plus) graphing calculator will be necessary to complete the calculator section. All high school mathematics courses will use this type of calculator. Therefore, it is essential that every student obtain one.
TI-83 Plus TI-84 Plus What Problems do I have to do? Please allow yourself one to two hours to complete the following sections of the packet.
