Our Collective

Thankfulness

In the Loop
What a busy few weeks it has been. Last week we launched our ‘Personal Challenge Award’ and we are pleased to say that over 100 people have signed up for this including DCAT CEO Mark Talbot. If you haven’t signed up for our challenge you still have time to do this via the school gateway app. Pictured below are just some of the ways we have been getting active in the first week of the challenge.
Mr Talbot also came in to school to deliver a collective worship and meet all the children and staff. You can find out more about Mr Talbot and the DCAT team by visiting the Trusts website http://www.dcat.academy/
We are in the process of building ‘Megan’s Reading House’ and we are looking for warm blankets and cushions we can use to snuggle up in whilst we read to Megan. If you have
any unwanted (warm) blankets please drop them to the school office. Many thanks in advance.

Archie Project
The Archie Project – dementia awareness
The Archie Project is an exciting intergenerational dementia awareness project that links local primary schools, care homes/ sheltered housing schemes,
businesses/ services and community members to ultimately dispel the fear and stigma often associated with dementia and create more dementia friendly
communities.
On Friday, the children took part in assemblies to learn about this and the staff attended training. Yes that’s right….that is Mrs Mally and Mr Robinson dressed up
as scarecrows! The Mascot for this project is a scarecrow called Archie!
