NC Peace Action Awards Dinner Peace Action will be hosting their Peacemaker Award
on September 23rd. Their mission is to abolish war par-
ticularly as an instrument of U.S. policy, and build a cul-
ture of peace through personal responsibility and wit-
ness, education and promotion of human needs over

Peace Festivals Happening Near You! Greensboro Peace Festival at 110 S. Greene St, Greensboro
Sunday September 18th, 5 PM The Greensboro Peace Festival is an international and in-
terfaith event held in downtown Greensboro that is free and
open to the public. The aim of the festival is to celebrate
Greensboro’s diverse interfaith community and to promote
community dialogue, understanding, and engagement.

Stop Police Brutality! Protest October 22nd is a day that people around the nation have mobilized
every year since 1996for a National Day of Protest to Stop Police Brutality,
Repression and the Criminalization of a Generation. It is crucial that we
bring forward a powerful National Day of Protest in cities and towns across
the U.S. to challenge the ongoing violence against the people. This October
22nd, stand with thousands across the country to express our collec-
tive outrage, creativity, and resistance in response to the crimes of this sys-
tem. Our Peace and Economic Justice Program will be collaborating with
other local organizations to coordinate a united message against police

PACHSI Meeting October 27th On Thursday Oct. 27 at 6:30pm PACHSI (Police Accountability Community
Safety Healing Initiatives) will hold a community meeting at the Beloved
Community Center located at 417 Arlington St. in Greensboro. A progress
report to the community about local work on policing issues will be on the
agenda. Come Join Us!
Guilford County Candidate Event
October: Date to be Announced
American Friends Service Committee (AFSC), League of Women Voters of the Piedmont Triad (LWV), and YWCA High Point will host a candidate event for county commissioners, board of education, and judges to interact with con-stituents and have an opportunity to address policy issues and plans for our city’s future. Our judicial candidates will engage informally and share infor-mation about their professional career choice.
Event is free and open to the public. Event will be held at YWCA located at 112 Gatewood Ave. High Point, NC.
