HOW TO USE THE ZOO AND PARK:

ACTION STEPS:• Make a plan. Do you want us to visit your school, or can you

bring your students to us?

• Pick the best date(s) for your wildlife adventure.

• Check on your travel arrangements.

• Review our program options. What would work best for you, your students, and your curriculum?

• Call us for more information, or visit our websites. For details, and to download registration forms for a self-guided visit to the Zoo, visit zoo.sandiegozoo.org/content/field-trips-grades-k-12-and-youth-groups; and for the Safari Park, visit sdzsafaripark.org/education/self-guided-field-trips.

SUGGESTIONS FOR FIELD TRIP SUCCESS:• If you have a reservation to bring your class to the Zoo or Safari Park,

request a free teacher planning pass and visit us before your trip. This will help you design an individual plan for your group. (One pass per teacher.)

• Plan your field trip for the fall or winter months, when the crowds are smaller.

• Bring your confirmation sheet with you, and be sure to have an accurate final count of students and chaperones when you arrive, to speed up check-in.

• If you plan to tour on your own, use the free self-guided materials we provide for the optimal experience. These can be downloaded at zoo.sandiegozoo.org/content/curriculum or sdzsafaripark.org/education/curriculum.
