St George's welcomes Guest from Malawi and Unity Foundation Representative

Dear Parents,

Despite the rather inclement weather (with snow forecast imminently) the school has been busy as usual; we had the privilege of welcoming the founder of the Bambino Foundation from Malawi earlier this week. Mrs Mkandawire enjoyed speaking with our Primary students and visiting the school. We hope to continue our association with the Foundation.

We are also preparing a number of meet the teacher event and parent assemblies in the near future. Dumble the Dinosaur and our Year 3 students will be performing at the beginning of February and our Secondary parent-teacher evenings are also fast approaching.

Our building site continues to make good progress and our contractors are in the process of fitting the last top story to the new Zinnen building as we speak. Interior work and finishing off the whole structure will continue this term and next. The new addition to St George’s is scheduled to open in time for our school start in September.

Our school calendar for 2016/2017 will be published as soon as it is approved by the Board of Governors at the end of January and may I also refer you to the letter of intent for 2016/2017 I recently sent to all parents. Teaching allocations for the new school year are well underway and we appreciate the early indications of families to allow us to plan accordingly. Thank you very much for your assistance in this matter.

With my best regards,Dr Barkei (Principal)

Please ensure these forms are completed and handed in before the due date stated on the forms to avoid disappointment. In the past the book signing has always proved to be very popular.
