Importance of Electrical System Design in Electric Engineering Electrical Engineering is defined as a part of engineering that deals with electricity, electronic gadgets and electromagnetism. The Electrical System Design is used by engineers to make powerful electric systems. It is also a design of electrical components, which are connected with each other, to carry out some functions. Historically, with the commercialization of power generation, transmission and distribution, and also electric telegraph and telephone, the electrical engineering became an independent engineering discipline in the latter half of the 19th century. In the modern world electricity is the basic need for the human life. It supports and promotes every aspect of our day to day life. Umpteen numbers of applications make electricity the ideal source of power. Electric System Design widely used in electronics, digital computers, power engineering, telecommunications, control systems, RF engineering, and signal processing to achieve maximum utilization of this electrical power. It is also used to design electronic based system. This design of the electronic systems are combined with other systems to make a larger system. So, it might be subsystems of major systems and it has minor systems of their own. This electrical system is a subsystem of the main system and there are also mini-systems that are loaded inside each rapid transit car, such as the car climate control system. Engineers use this design for the efficient production, transportation and distribution of the electricity. It can easily convert electricity into useful work, light or heat at the final destination. It is very reliable and easily controlled. It can be well planned and carefully designed, so that electrictronic system can be a pleasure to operate. These are advantages of properly designed electrical system but if it is poorly designed and badly executed, it can be hazardous to human lives and property, and also it can be unreliable and never ending source of problems. So, safety is the prime concern for the electrical engineer, for designing a proper electrical system. Electrical engineer uses different electrical system design for each new project. This design that is used by the engineers depends upon the electrical loads, size of project and proximity of the development from existing electrical substations and main power lines. The physical condition as well as climatic condition and the location of the project site are also causes for the power supply and also underground electric distribution. The main element for the electrical power generation is the co-ordination for good design and project management. Currently there are wide varieties of software available for every design process. This design produces the background information to help the users to understand how to make electricity efficient, safe and economical.
