responsibility PAC (JRC reference FMP 8433) – letter plus Annex• Delivery of generalised shapefiles, and further details

responsibility CID 31/12template will be sent out as soon as requirements/budget is defined

• Technical and Competitive Feasibilityresponsibility CID January-Februarycommunication and acceptance by MS Administration March 2008

• LIODOTNET training at CwRS KO Meetingresponsibility CID, also contractors to be invited, March 2008including updates, image return etc.

HR Imagery; sites/windows• All sites to be defined by shape file • Autumn window

autumn sites opened 64 windows (DE, FR), autumn sites acquired 39

• Winter windowopen/close date to be decided by MS

• Spring, Summer windowsnew naming convention proposed: HR-1, HRVHR , HR+1, HR+2 etc.window length HR to be decided by MS (normal case 3(-4) weeks)1st open date to be decided by MS Admin. If no extraordinary decision (*), JRC will

open all further windows automatically after a 2(-3) week dead period after acquisition

• Radar tripletsto be reduced to a minimum in 2008 Campaignfuture VHR Radar (e.g. TerraSAR-X, COSMO-SkyMed) ?

(*) extraordinary condition see VHR Image Specifications for the CwRS Programme [http://mars.jrc.it/] - notice of 2 weeks required.

• Possibility to test the service on 1 site/ contractor in 2008 in an “operational” configuration for interested users (please contact Pär). Then we will request your feedback!

• Further analysis and testing to be done on VHR data during 2008.

VHR/HR Imagery; how to increase capacity, reduce costs?• VHR Prime capacity approx. 150.000 km2• VHR Backup capacity 80.000 km (plus EROS B)• HR capacity approx 1000 scenes / campaign

• How to increase capacity?increase VHR window lengthslide VHR windowsmore extensive use of backup; allowing a lower planned dedicated success rateHR capacity sufficient?

• How to reduce costs?develop control method using PAN only as VHR primeless HR windowsflexibility of backup?

Some information• JRC will download source HR/VHR directly from Image Providers in Campaign 2008• F2 orthocorrection modules;

– ERDAS Imagine 9.1 (fix 32472 that adds a geometric modelling for F2)– PCI Geomatica 10 (with patch 10031 which includes critical enhancements for the F2 modelling)– SIPOrtho, Prodigeo, Socet set

• EROS B orthocorrection modules;PCI Geomatica 10.1.1 , ERDAS LPS, Socet Set

• ALOS; AVNIR-2 orthocorrection module; PCI Geomatica v 9.1 onwards

• Wv1 orthocorrection… PCI, ERDAS ? (waiting confirm by Eurimage, and test by CID)
