Interns’ Typical Week of Training• All interns train 2 days per week in a rural school district or special education

cooperative. One day per week they are thoroughly integrated into the elementary Response to Intervention model, providing a full range of school psychological services with an emphasis on academic assessment andintervention. During the second day they provide individual and group therapy to adolescent students.

• PSC interns also spend 2 days per week in primary care practices that are part of the Advocate Medical Group, providing integrated behavioral health services. The PSC tracks are differentiated by primary care placements:

1. Pediatric: Both primary care practice days take place within a pediatric practice in Bloomington/Normal.

2. Rural: One primary care practice day occurs in the Bloomington pediatric practice, and the other day is split between two rural practices serving patients of all ages.

• During the fifth day each week (and during the 2 school days in summer months),interns participate in additional didactic and supervision activities and pursueindividualized opportunities such as teaching, supervision, or providing services to clients at the PSC under real-time supervision.
