High Reliability is maintained through stable design based onaccumulated technical power and new technology, excellentworking environment and facilities, strict work control andsystematic test and inspection process.
High Reliability
To remove moisture from deep inside, coil and coreassembly is fully dried using Vacuum Vapor Phase DryingPlant, which is controlled automatically according to presetoptimum condition.
Perfect Drying Process
Low no load loss and noise reduction is achieved by adoptingmiter joint construction and automatic core cutting in whichthe characteristics of grain oriented silicone steel is fullyutilized.
Core Construction with High Performance
Sufficient mechanical strength against Short Circuit isachieved by maintaining a balance of ampere-turns betweenwindings and adopting materials suitable for mechanicalforce calculated by computer as well as exercising adequatecare in winding assembly.

In comparison with the power Transformer, the Less Flammable power Transformer can reduce the
possibility of fire accidents by using less flammable insulation oil. Iljin Electric Company
manufactures Less Flammable power Transformers by suitable designs based on simulation
systems, a technology acquired through long experiences and accumulated technology. Iljin has
also acquired KEPCO’s development & testing certification.
Using Less Flammable power Transformers can guarantee safety in high power spending facilities

Unit Cooler : Cooling Pipe + Cooling Fan + Pump, Control Panel
Insulation Oil, when heated by the heat of the Core and Coil, moves up naturally into the
radiator through the upper part of the Tank. When it is cooled it moves back down
through the radiator and into the lower part of the Tank. This type is generally used for
easy maintenance.
Panel Type Radiator. This radiator is fabricated with two overlaid steel plates which arespot-welded at end and mid point and cut in preset size and expanded to form wantedshape. This construction have features of less oil contents, high mechanical strength andvacuum resistance.
ONAF
This uses the Cooling Fan attached to the Panel Type Radiator of ONAN, increasing
the cooling effect. This is also applied to double rating which ONAN is used for light
duty and ONAF is used for heavy duty. In this case, ONAF has output 120~140%
higher than ONAN s.
OFAF
This uses Unit Cooler which is constituted with Special Cooling Pipe, Oil Pump and Cooling Fan.
To increase cooling effect, Directed Oil Flow method with Zig-zag oil flow can be used when required.
OFWF & OFAF also can be suplied to overcome any restrictions at site

Checking bushing flange, valves, the radiator, the
gasket sealing of oil pipes and welding.
Comparing with normal sound, check if there is any
unusual sound or vibration.
Check the oil level and leakage
Check the adhesion of sodium chloride or cracksthrough checking the appearance.
Check the moisture level of dehydration material (ifthe blue color of the material turns to light pink, thatindicates dehydration)
Check the oil amount of cylinder
The pressure plate is a cover that protects againstexternal damage. Check the pressure plate to findN2 gas or oil leakage
Gas leakage can be monitored by pressure and
temperature graph.
In the case that the relationship between the temperature and
level of oil is contrary, following check-up is necessary.

When there is internal defect of Oil temperature gauge and Oil
level indicator, they need to be replaced with new ones.
Tight the bolts of gaskets if the leakage is from gasket sealing, If
the leakage doesn t stop, replacement of the gasket is necessary.
In the case of leakage on welded parts, please contact us.
If abnormal sound or too much vibration is caused by loosened
attachment, tight the related parts or contact us.
In the case of oil leakage or if the oil level is lowered, contact us.
Clean-up when there are foreign materials on insulator.
Contact us, when crack or breakage is found.
When the color is changed, it needs to be dried out or replaced.
If the oil amount is not sufficient, fill the oil after clean up.
In the case of N2 gas or oil leakage due to natural depletion of
pressure plate, it needs to be replaced.
In the case of decreasing pressure, gasket sealing or pressure
plate of pressure relief device needs to be checked.
In the case of low pressure, supplement the N2 gas.
This is the check-up list for a user. The check-up period can be decided depending on the importance and operating time of the machinery. The
check-up should be carried on only in uninterrupted condition. Information should be recorded on the check-up sheet including the date of check-
up, climate, temperature, name of machinery being checked-up, serial number (on the name plate), and inspector s information.

Maintenance of Insulation Oil
The main cause of depletion of insulation oil is oxidation. The insulation oil gets oxidized due to the contact with the air. The oxidation causestemperature rise of a transformer, catalysis of metal, effluent of insulation varnish. Moreover, due to chemical reaction such as decomposition andpolymerization, it generates sludge, which settles on the bottom of the tank and interferes cooling that makes temperature rise. The increase of thetemperature leads T.A.N to increase, and volume resistivity and insulation destruction voltage to decrease.
