IJB Team Structure
Once upon a time the IJB team was a big mess.
There was no structure, just a lot of motivated juniors, and so often the goals weren’t reached
In 2007 the International Junior Representatives decided that things had to change. With such a lot of motivated people it was time to take some real actions.
In order to take these actions a structure was needed!
In 2008 a structured IJB Team was born. After reflecting for some time the IJRs concluded IJBs work was covered by three main areas.
These three areas then became the three sections of the IJB Team.
These were:
Connect

Growth and Development

However after a few successful years working in this structure it was once again time for a change.
The team had become too big and was no longer productive.
Last summer before IJBC the IJB Team met to evaluate the structure.
They began with the goals of the IJB Team and built up to the structure from there.
After many long nights and early morning they came up with a new structure:
Made up of 4 areas
These areas then divide into groups, with different tasks.
However, there is no such thing as a perfect structure and we already have a group working on evaluating the new one.
Maybe in a couple of years we will have a whole new structure again!
So what can we learn from this?
Even though we have a whole new structure, you can see that we still have 3 main sections, that work with the same themes as in the previous structure.
From this we learnt that regardless of the structure we still have the same three main areas that we work on.
