Game Title Naruto Shippuden: Ultimate ninja storm 3: Full Burst

Provide detailed descriptions from chosen examples that establish… Clearly state what production technique(s) you think have been used to create specific soundtrack elements

Setting The setting in the beginning of the clip starts with a heavy fog & blowing wind which gives some signs of either mystery or something potentially dangerous is going to occur in the forthcoming events. The blowing wind gradually begins to become louder and is then followed by a slight repeated rickety flickering noise which gives some sense of sudden tension & disturbance almost like a showdown is to take place.

0:24-28 Blowing wind SFX which is lowered to fit as a background effect after 0:28 and continues until the dialogue at 0:50(VST instruments and effects)

0:28-45 traditional Asian melody mixed with a flute resembling instrument playing in the background.

(Studio recording & Use of traditional instruments)

0:29, 0:32, 0:35 & 0:43 Flickering sound effect is repeated at these set times.(VST instruments and effects)

0:51 after dialogue is finished it is followed by the sound of a large drum which slowly fades out.(VST instruments and effects & Use of traditional instruments)

0:52-54 The drum is then shadowed by a single piano note becoming louder.(Studio recording & Use of traditional instruments)

0:54-57 trails of repeated loud piano notes.(Studio recording & Use of traditional instruments)

0:56 Towards the end of the repeated piano notes in the upbringing a group of violins with haste.(Studio recording & Use of traditional instruments)

0:56 Both the violins & drums then get drastically louder and quieter more frequently until the final dialogue at 1:40(Studio recording & Use of traditional instruments)

1:13 The drums stop for the moment and is replaced by the piano & violin for the subtle scene up until the bang of a drum at 1:25(Studio recording & Use of traditional instruments)

1:25-1:40 The delicate piano playing is then reverted back to the loud and merciless sound of Drastic banging drums and loud violins.(Studio recording & Use of traditional instruments)

Mood 0:24 - 0:45 Unresponsive: There are no movements or speech just a blowing wind with a repeated flicker

0:45 - 0:50 Intense: The character seems angry & focused on what he is fulfilling aware of the risk it holds.

Narrative

0:45-50 As the melody comes to a close a dialogue begins with the character speaking in an aggressive tone of voice, the narrative is presumably by the leading villainous character with such a big opening.

1:39-41 dialogue of what some would assume is the mirror character, the protagonist with a battle cry.

(Studio voice Recorded)
