Roles of ICT

E-Education White Paper e-Education is described as “ the ability

to: apply ICT skills to access, analyse, evaluate,

integrate, present and communicate information;

enhance teaching and learning through communication and collaboration by using ICTs” (p7)

E-Education White Paper e-schools “will be characterized as

institutions that have: learners who utilize ICTs to enhance

learning; qualified and competent leaders who use

ICTs for planning, management and administration;

qualified and competent teachers who use ICTs to enhance teaching and learning;”(p11)

E-Education White Paper:Whole school development a tool for management and

administration; a resource for curriculum integration; a communication tool; a collaborative tool for teachers and

learners; and a learning environment that advances

creativity, communication, collaboration and engagement. (p7)
