From the Grand Royal Matron
This has really been a year of change. I think I am going for a record on the
number of changes. I have changed 6 OV this year due to things happening.
Thank you everyone for all the cards and prayers during the loss of our son.
David’s death was due to complications from diabetes which makes our goal to
fight diabetes even more important to me.
Grand Court is going to have a Christmas Party at the Group meeting in December,
at Mt. View Court. All the members and friends of Amaranth are invited. We will
have a gift exchange ($5 to $10) and some fun games. See if you can bring a car
full of people with you.
The Official Visits have been great and I am so pleased to see people traveling and
supporting each other. Hope to see many of you on the road.
Have a wonderful Christmas. Be sure to give your loved ones lots of hugs you
never know when it is your last. Live, love and forgive.
It is Christmas and
I just wanted to Say
Thank you and that
It has been a great pleasure
Being with you this year
Hope you and your family have a
Wonderful Holidays and a Happy New Year.

Merry Christmas and Happy New Year
From the Grand Line of Washington Amaranth
Donna, Bonita, Cathy, Phil, Gerry, & Ginny
Hello from the West.
SK Jerry and I would like to thank everyone who attended our
reception in September. It was a wonderful afternoon. I especially liked the
wonderful new train designed by GRM Cathy.
As we enter the Holiday Season we wish for you peace and harmony. We are
thankful for all your support and friendship and the Order of the Amaranth.
We leave you with this thought: People who wonder whether the glass is
half empty or half full miss the point. The glass is refillable.
Happy Holidays

Trinity Court No. 51 Newsletter input:
Happy New Year 2017! to all Amaranth members from Trinity Court No. 51.
We are thrilled to report that we initiated Peggy Miller at our December meeting
and she is a welcomed addition to our ranks. We also have 2 petitions our for
membership - so our membership will be growing in 2017.
We are dark in January and February so things will pick up again in March. We
will have our stated meeting on March 11, 2017 with the wearing of the green and
celebrating St. Patrick's Day. This will be Mens' Day and SK John Chamberlain and
his committee will prepare the lunch for our members. Whether the men cook or
the ladies cook, we never go away hungry. Members of Trinity Court will be getting
ready to go to Grand Court to be held on March 16th to the 18th, 2017. We always
have a good time and great fellowship with friend we do not see very often.
With being dark the first of the year, time flies by and it is time for elections again.
Our stated meeting on April 8, 2017, well be election of officers for 2017-2018
Court year. At this April meeting we will have the pleasure of meeting Illustrious Sir
Tom Richardson and his Lady Cheryl of the El Katif Shrine here in Spokane. He will
speak to us on his theme for the year and bring us a pin with his Potentate's logo on it.
This has been a tradition with Trinity Court to invite the Nobility of El Katif Shrine to
come and be our guests for lunch and speak on their current projects for the Shriner's
Hospital for Children. This will also be potluck, so come and enjoy the food, fellowship
and great time we have to offer.
By this time the snow here will have melted and we are thinking of the spring time
and what great colors it has to offer. Spring is a miraculous experience. The whole
world comes alive after the winter in which it seemed that everything was dead.
The world comes filled with color and the scent of delicious greenery. The world
that seemed to dull and cold has come alive once again. Little did we know
that beneath the cold hard ground the plants and trees were preparing for
rebirth. Spring gives us hope for rejuvenation in our own lives as well. Spring
is a time to renew the excitement and zest for life that lives inside.
UNTIL NEXT TIME,
Ada Anderson, Secretary
