Chapter Education Benefit

• The benefit officially began April 1, 2012• Qualifying Chapters receive either:

– 1 complimentary live Fundamentals, Update, Significant Changes, or Transition training seminar, or

– 1 complimentary live Performing, advanced or special topics one‐day training seminar (legal and electrical seminars are not eligible) with the purchase of a second seminar

• The Chapter will receive up to 30 complimentary sets of student materials (workbooks, handouts, etc.) for the no‐cost seminar. Additional sets of materials for more than 30 students must be purchased at standard Chapter pricing

• The Chapter may request, but is not guaranteed, a specific instructor

• The new slide template was designed to help make training easier and more effective.

• Added emphasis on the content through more pictures and animations• Designed to hold the learner’s attention and give them cues that will help 

them process information• Objective slides are a brighter color than the supporting slides• Less distraction on slides with images or drawings• Less text on the slides, extensive text is now in the notes area of the slides• Animations are designed to draw learners attention to information without 

overwhelming them.

Intake opening locationIntake openings must be located a minimum of 10 feet (3048 mm) from lot lines or buildings on the same lot.

• Where openings front on a street or public way, the distance shall be measured from the closest edge of the street or public way.

Intake openings can be located less than 10 feet horizontally from streets, alleys, parking lots and loading docks provided that they are positioned more than 25 feet vertically above such locations.

e. Rates are per water closet or urinal. The higher rate shall be provided where periods of heavy use are expected to occur, such as, toilets in theaters, schools, and sports facilities. The lower rate shall be permitted where periods of heavyuse are not expected. The higher rate shall be provided where the exhaust system is designed to operate intermittently. The lower rate shall be permitted only where the exhaust system is designed to operate continuously while occupied.
