Study for a Bilingual Diploma at SSB — six subjects and the DP Core IB subjects offered at SSB* Students choose one subject from each of the following groups: Group 1. Mother tongue Danish, Dutch, English, Finnish, French, German, Norwe- gian, Spanish, Swedish, Tutorial languages Group 2. Foreign languages Dutch, English, Finnish, French, German, Spanish, Swedish Group 3. Individuals and Society Business Management, Economics, History Group 4. Experimental Sciences Biology, Physics, Chemistry Group 5. Mathematics Math Studies, Mathematics Group 6. Arts and Electives Visual Art or any subject from groups 1-4 *Please note that these will run at the discretion of the Head of School and are subject to student numbers. In addition to the six subject groups, students also complete the mandatory Diploma Programme Core: An Extended Essay (EE) requires students to conduct their own research into an area of special interest, with the aim of developing the independent research and writing skills necessary for undergraduate study. Theory of Knowledge (TOK) challenges students to question the basis of knowledge and to develop their critical thinking skills. Through Creativity, Activity and Service (CAS) students are encouraged to develop a sense of the world out- side the classroom. It aims to encourage new skills and interests and inspire a sense of responsibility towards all members of the community.
