This year is definitely going to go
down in the record books for cold
snowy weather! We have certainly
had our fill! Apparently the ground-
hog knew what he was doing when
he predicted another 6 weeks of
winter! C’mon SPRING!!!
We thank you all for your
understanding in regards to snow
days and closings this year… This has
been an exceptionally difficult
season and we appreciate your
patience and cooperation. We
never take closing or delaying lightly.
It is our hope that we are done for
the season – but the way things have
gone… you never know! As always –
we will make every effort to stay
open for YOU!
We had a fantastic February here at
AVCCC! The kids had a great time
with their Valentine’s Day parties!
Thanks to all the parents who helped
and participated! We can’t do it
without you!
Administrative Corner As we hope and pray for a thaw this
March – it is time to remind you to set
your clocks ahead 1 hour on Sunday,
March 9th! Spring ahead!
This month we celebrate St. Patrick’s
Day… So look forward to many “green”
crafts coming from your child’s rooms…
Our monthly fire drill will be March 12th at
12:30 pm right after lunches… We are
required by New York State Office of
Children and Family Services to hold a
fire drill once every month. We have
started listing the fire drill dates in our
newsletter so you know when we are
planning them… Weather permitting of
course…
As always we thank you for choosing
Abide in the Vine Child Care Center for
your children! It is our privilege and
blessing to be able to care for your
children!
Have a Happy St. Patrick’s Day!

Faith and Journey enjoy playing dressup…
Rock a bye baby…
with Miss Tammy and Natalie…
Spring is on it’s way… at least in the Infant room!
We hope that it brings warmer weather. The
infants will keep their eyes open for signs of Spring...
Such as leaves sprouting, flowers blooming, and
animals returning.
Our low enrollment this time of year has kept the
Lambs and Birds rooms together… We’ve enjoyed
spending time together in the same room! It’s so
much fun being able to spend time together with all our
friends!!!
Sadly the infants will say goodbye to their dear friend
Josephine as she moves up to the toddler room with Miss
Wendy. The infant room will also welcome a new friend,
Weston! Please check out our St. Patty Day art on the bulletin
board in the hall. We will also be celebrating Dr. Seuss’s
Birthday and Big Bird’s with art projects. A friendly reminder
that day light savings is March 9th. Set your clock’s ahead 1
hour!
Miss Sue, Miss Kelly, Miss Dawn, Miss Tammy, & Miss Sarah H.
February was VERY cold, but we went outside when we
could… February was a busy month filled with art
projects that were associated with Dental Health,
Valentine’s Day, and Dr. Seuss. We are really getting
involved in our circle time that consists of Calendar, “Days of
the Week” Song, books, and music. The Valentine’s party
was fun! Thank you for sending in Valentine’s to share! A
special thank you to those who sent in a snack or drink.
March will be filled with learning about lions and lambs, St.
Patrick’s Day, Spring, and gardening/plants. Think Spring
and warmer weather!!!
Miss Cortney, Miss Em, and Miss Kristi
We would like to welcome Keagan & Journey to our room!
We enjoyed our month with learning the colors pink & red.
We have been doing great with circle time, nursery rhymes,
and crafts. We weren’t able to go outside as much but
enjoyed the Motor Skills Room. We had a great Valentine’s
Day party and a big thank you to all the parents that
brought in a snack! We will be working on the color dark
green and light green and enjoying St. Patrick’s
Day crafts!

Harper and Althea have fun playing
in the kitchen center…
February has flown by and Spring is around the corner!
Please remember that even though the snow will soon be
gone, the children still need sneakers on the playground.
In March we will focus on the letters Pp, Zz, and Gg, the diamond
shape, and the color green. We will also look at more & fewer, tall &
short, as well as matching. The children are also working on writing
their names as well as identifying the letters of their name. The Bees
and Puppies are also working together to sell candy to get new things
for the rooms. If you are interested in helping – please see me or
Melissa in the Bees room for more info…
Miss Jatona, Miss Brenda, Miss Patty, and Miss Hailey
It’s already the end of February and the Bee’s brains have been
working very hard. We had lots of fun talking about family & friends &
also had a blast at our Valentine’s Day party! In March we will be
talking about St. Patrick’s Day… We will also be working hard learning
about our five senses & dental health. We will continue doing a great
job writing our letters and do a lot of brand new sequencing and
graphing activities, including filling in our very own weather graphs!
We have been having so much fun and can’t wait to see what the
month ahead will bring us!
Miss Melissa, Miss Kate, Miss Danielle, and Miss Sylvia
Winter just doesn’t seem to want to
go away this year!!! The cold weather
just keeps holding on! Thank you for
sending coats, mittens, hats, etc… It
is so hard to stay warm when it’s sooo
cold! This month – Owego Apalachin
Schools will be closed on February 14th
for a Superintendent’s Day . We will
be open and run our full day program.
We love when we can spend the whole day
together! Please remember that as long as
the weather is warm enough (warmer than 20F) we
will be going outside too. Please continue to dress
warm with snow pants, boots, hats, gloves/mittens,
coats, etc…
Happy St. Patrick’s Day!
Miss Christina, Miss Sam, & Miss Jess
