I Am Warrior

I am not of the substance of the common kind, nor am I from the ilk of mediocrity. For it is my vision that guides me, my valour that dictates my destiny and my commitment to fullness of being that defines my existence.

I am Warrior. It is the trait of courage that governs me.

It is my obligation.

For in the dead of night when the demons come, with their mercenaries of fear, doubt, confusion and self-pity in tow, I stand at the Gates of Fire with open heart, strength of character and presence of being to face the massing hordes, and it is courage that will see me through.

And I shall stand strong – and refuse to ever wilt, waver or wallow. And they will feel the wrath of the warrior creed - For they will be slain by my sword of truth, cut down by my spear of integrity and find my shield of honour impervious to their poisons.

They shall not pass. For I am Warrior.

And I shall not cease until the foes of my higher-self are banished to the outer reaches of the darkness of the soul from whence they come, now and forever cowering in the shadow of the Warrior presence, never to trespass again on the hallowed ground of purity of thought.

And now, at one with myself, I travel to the edge of creation where the valleys of solitude, humility, gratitude and presence of mind reside in peaceful harmony, and I ascend, with intensity, purpose and resolve, its highest peak.

There, fully centered, hand on heart and in God’s glimmering light, I proclaim with all my being for my cry to echo in eternity: “I AM WARRIOR – I AM SPARTAN"
