Pressure Boosting (HYPN) SystemWhat is “HYPN” System?

HY • Hydro (liquid circulated in system by centrifugal pumps)

PN• Use of compressed air or gas

through pressurized tank in pumping system

HYPN• Conventional pumping

system converted in to automated pumping system

Page 3: HYPN Systems

3

Pressure Boosting (Hydro Pneumatic) System

Maintain a constant pressure, level or temperature

Avoid unnecessary running of pumps at no flow requirement

Smooth and controlled performance

Fully automatic operation (Less human interference)

Optimization of water and energy

Why do people go for pressure boosting system?

Types of Pressure Boosting SystemTypes of HYPN System

Fixed speed system (FS)All pumps will run on fixed speed

Cascade (single VFD) System (C)One pump will run on VFD and others

pumps on fixed speed

All VFD system (AV)All pumps in system will run on VFD

These level sensors will give signal to solenoid valve panel when water level in tank reaches to maximum and minimum level.

High/Low Level

Solenoid valve panel will close or open solenoid valve on receiving signal from high and low level sensors respectively.

Solenoid Valve Panel

Solenoid valve will act upon signal received from solenoid valve panel. Opening or closing of this valve will cause line pressure to change from its set pressure. This will cause HYPN system to ON or OFF pumps.

Solenoid Valve

Ball valves will act as bypass arrangement for water flow in tank in case of solenoid valve failure.
