Radical 2008 Great&British Dunlop Motorsport FestivalVisiting six of the UK’s top circuits, the Great and BritishMotorsport Festivals aim to deliver a packed programme ofaction, featuring some of the best British Championships.

Fans of Le Mans style sportscar racing will be catered forby the new Radical UK Cup, which promises packed grids,compulsory pitstops and driver changes. The relaunchedchampionship will showcase some of the fastest cars torace at national level this year, with this being the flagship ofRadical’s UK racing programme.

“Our three core championships will form the basis of theDunlop Great & British television programme, and recentraces, and viewing figures, have proven that these champi-onships can thrill TV viewers as well as trackside specta-tors. We are delighted to work with six circuits that shareour vision for professionally promoting national level motor-sport” stated Dunlop’s James Bailey.

The three core championships will be supported by theever-popular classic Mini Se7ens and Miglias at all rounds.In addition, the BARC Westfield Championship becomes afull time support series after achieving an impressiveincrease in grid size in 2007.

“BARC have organised a series of prime dates, focusing onthe summer months. This will enable us to create more of aFestival atmosphere – with the emphasis on entertainmenton-track, and in the paddock” added Bailey.

• At Races. Radical Championship races all over the UK in major tracks such as Brands Hatch, Donington Park, Silverstone and others. Over 35000 race fans at race meeting. Flyers will be dis-tributed by pit girls to race fans. Hospitality lunch will be served to guest and sponsors.

• Television. At least six of the nine 2007 Dunlop Great and British Motorsport Festivals will be shown on Sky Sports which reaches 8 million homes in the UK and Eire. In addition, dedicated 30 minute programmes focusing on the Radical, Ginetta and Mini.

Radical championships will feature once again as part of theMotorsport UK magazine programme broadcast on ITV1 and satellite channel Granada Men & Motors.
