Homo Faber: in Latin, the person who produces, makes, creates, who draws the

necessary material works from his labour, literally, the person who manufactures.

In the office of the new millennium, workshop of ideas and solutions, concepts

and strategies, thoughts become actions. Faber’s modular system of managerial

and operational desks cleverly interprets this new way of thinking.

Homo Faber: in latino colui che produce, realizza, crea. Che dal suo lavoro trae

le necessarie opere materiali. Colui che, letteralmente, fabbrica. Nell’ufficio del

nuovo millennio, fucina di idee e soluzioni, concetti e strategie, il pensare diventa

fare. Il sistema modulare di scrivanie direzionali e operative Faber interpreta con

intelligenza questo nuovo sentire.

Faber’s single desks can be assembled into virtually unlimited workstations, equipped with endless stations.

The steel frame of the desk has 5 cm. square cross-section legs and crossbars with a cylindrical cross-section

diameter of 4,2 cm. The two sides of the operational layouts can be separated by methacrylate panels in

various colours with an aluminium frame, solid laminated panels or frameless glass panels.

Con Faber è possibile comporre le singole scrivanie in workstation virtualmente illimitate, dotate di infinite

postazioni. La struttura in acciaio della scrivania è composta da gambe a sezione quadrata di 5 cm. e da travi a

sezione cilindrica di 4,2 cm. di diametro. La divisione fra i due lati delle composizioni operative è ottenibile tramite

pannelli in metacrilato di vari colori intelaiati in alluminio o da pannelli ciechi nobilitati o in vetro non intelaiato.

The cabinets have swing, sliding or rolling doors allowing different opening solutions. The frame of the

cabinets comes in metal painted with emission-free incombustable epoxy-polyester powder coatings.

The different effects obtained by changing the colour of the panels in methacrylate are highlighted.

The aluminium frame allows the screen dividers to be easily fitted.

La struttura degli armadi è in lamiera verniciata con polveri epossipoliestere e dunque totalmente esenti da

The metallic crossbars with round cross-section intersecting the trestle legs are at the heart of Faber’s

project-system. The tops and steel legs are joined together by a hidden expansion aluminium joint thus

obtaining an almost invisible connection. An intelligent system that allows the potentially unlimited

combination of desks, as well as the connection of tops to additional elements, such as side tops of various

shapes (square, “S” or “L” shaped), and the installation of appropriate accessories such as cable duct holders,

both horizontal and vertical, and modesty panels.

Le travi metalliche a sezione rotonda, perpendicolari alle gambe a cavalletto, sono il cuore del progetto-

sistema Faber. L’unione fra piani e gambe in acciaio avviene proprio qui, tramite un giunto in alluminio ad

espansione totalmente a scomparsa: connessione pressoché invisibile per la massima resa estetica.

Un intelligente sistema che permette l’articolazione potenzialmente infinita delle scrivanie, nonché la con-

nessione dei top ad elementi aggiuntivi, quali piani laterali di varie forme (quadrati, a “S”, a “L”), e l’installazione

di opportuni accessori quali contenitori passacavi, sia orizzontali che verticali, e modesty panel.

Managerial and operational are two aspects of Faber. The main concept is the same. The only variation is the

working top: painted tempered glass (12 mm thick, with a side glossy line finish and rounded corners) in the

case of the managerial desk, melamine-faced wooden mix (28 mm thick, ABS framed) in the case of the

operational one. The side top is highlighted in the arrangement.

Direzionale e operativo in Faber sono due risvolti della stessa medaglia. Il concetto portante non cambia,

cambia la superficie d’azione: vetro temperato verniciato (spessore 12 mm, finito a filo lucido ai bordi e

smussato agli spigoli) nel caso del direzionale, conglomerato ligneo nobilitato (spessore 28 mm, bordato in

ABS) in quello dell’operativo. In evidenza nella composizione la presenza del piano laterale.

The glass tops are the distinctive and unique mark of our Faber executive System. Standard finishing

offered are: transparent, matt, white and black. On demand, and depending on quantities, tops can be

provided in different colours, in order to fulfil and customize the various requirements.

The glass is always tempered, in order to grant the maximum safety. Cabinets can also be supplied with

tempered glass doors 4 mm thick. Caps for the aesthetic closing of the beams are made of ABS material. The

feet of the desks are height adjustable to compensate for flaws in the flooring.

I piani in cristallo sono il tratto distintivo e peculiare del sistema direzionale Faber. Di serie le finiture proposte

sono: trasparente, opaco bianco e nero. A richiesta ed in base alle quantità, i piani possono essere di

colorazioni diverse, così da incontrare le esigenze di personalizzazione proprie di ogni contesto. Il cristallo è

temperato dunque di sicurezza, come in tutti i prodotti Fosam in cui esso è presente. Anche gli armadi

presentano ante a vetro temperate dello spessore di 4 mm. I tappi per la chiusura estetica delle travi sono in

ABS. I piedini di tutte le scrivanie sono regolabili in altezza per compensare le imperfezioni del pavimento.

The metal painted Fosam drawer unit system is characterised by its robust nature and therefore its

capacity to withstand heavy paper loads, as well as its practical use and layout (all the handles are hidden).

The front panels are in anti-collision ABS. The internal accessories are available in a wide variety.

holders and lamps. They are hidden and therefore integrated within the workstation. The individual

Invisibility. It is one of Faber’s fundamental

concepts. The possibility of concealing not

only cables and wires through the use of

generous metal cable ducts and wide mag-

netic storage panels for the internal legs,

but also joints, connections and structural

elements. All this allowing its complexity to

appear simple.
