Resources needed: Computer/Chromebook, colored pencils/crayons/markers and paper

Learning Target:Students will understand logo design and recognize the elements that make a

good and effective logo.

- Review the logo design presentation you looked at earlier in this overarching lesson about logo design to get reacquainted of all the facets of designing a logo.

Activity

- Locate the logo for the elementary school you attended. If you can’t find one for your school, choose another elementary school in the district. Draw it out to the best of your ability at the top of a piece of paper. Then, below it, sketch a rough redesign of it. Don’t include color yet. Make sure it is identifiably different and unique. Make sure the school name (or initials) and mascot are included.
