    Conglomerate mergerstake place when two

    organizations operate in different industries. A

    conglomerate is a large company that consists of

    divisions of often seemingly unrelated businesses.

    The first British conglomerate was Hanson.

    The era pf Licence raj ( 1947-1990) in India

    created some of the Asias largest conglomerate

    like Tata group, Reliance Industries and the AdityaBirla group.
