It is a member of The Jain Group of Instuons, with two decades of experience in the field of educaon. Jain University offers UG, PG and Research Programmes in the disciplines of Engineering, Humanies, Sciences, Social Sciences, Commerce and Management with a vision of “Naon-building through Excellence in Quality Educaon, Research and Entrepreneurial Development”. It boasts of academic, research and corporate collaboraons with various internaonal and naonal organizaons of excellence. With extensive infrastructure and faculty members of the highest calibre, the University emphasizes on quality educaon coupled with value added programmes, co-curricular and extra- curricular acvies. The Department was established in the year 1990 and over the years became the major strength of the instuon. The department plays a pivotal role in developing the student community in the field of Commerce, Management and Entrepreneurial competencies, which is the vision of our President, Dr. Chenraj Roychand, Jain University Trust. Over the last few years, organisaons have become more proacve, transparent, meritocrac and performance-oriented. They are also facing challenges like increasing globalizaon, rapid technological changes, and tougher compeons, new organizaonal alliances, new structures and hierarchies, diverse workforce, employees' priories & capabilies. Within these pressured organizaons, there is a need for (and opportunity for) the human resources funcon to play a crical role in helping organizaons navigate through these transions. This has made the job of the HR funcon a lot more important, for these values form the very edifice of HR work today. HR is becoming a strategic partner with the leaders of the business to contribute to significant business decisions, advice on crical transions and develop the value of the employees, in short, to have a seat at the table. HRM is now viewed as a profit centre and no longer a cost centre. The new role of HR is to link employee performance to business goals and drive organizaonal change in areas like employee engagement and retenon, recruing, and leadership development. Human resources are being viewed as an input, which can provide sustained compeve advantage to the organizaons.
