Standard vs Organic SealsThe standard seal is made of (UHMW-PE) Ultra High Molecular Weight Polyethylene for use with aqueous fluids. The organic seal is made of graphite-filled PTFE for use with harsh chemicals.

The recommended minimum back pressure is 200 PSI for optimum pump performance. If your application will not provide adequate back pressure, adding restrictive tubing to the outlet of the pump is recommended.

Single Piston High Performance Isocratic Pump | LS & LST Class

The reliable LS/LST Class consists of single-headed positive displacement piston pumps incorporating advanced cam designs for very low pulsation. With micro-stepping motor technology and a proven single-piston pump mechanism, the LS/LST Class exceeds the performance of more expensive units at a fraction of the cost. The pumps are ideal for a wide variety of HPLC applications (including biocompatible separations), semi-prep LC, metering & dispensing, and general lab use.

The CP Class pumps are widely used for LC Column packing, as well as many process applications. Advanced pressure control algorithms ensure consistent bed density and prevent pressure over-shoot by allowing the user to select a wide range of process parameters, including desired pressure set point, ramp rate, and upper flow rate limit. Control software included. Pressure Control Accuracy is dependent on hydraulic system parameters. Pump automatically adjusts fluid flow to maintain constant system pressure under typical column-packing usage. Pump does not contain an automatic pressure-relief valve.

The customizable Binary Gradient Pumping System is an advanced pumping system for two-solvent high-pressure gradient applications. The system is designed with two single-head positive displacement piston pumps integrated into a functional enclosure. Equipped with belt drive pump mechanisms with shaped cam and electronic fast refill, the system produces very low pulsation. The included Gradient Board allows for autonomous binary gradient formation without the need for continuous computer monitoring and control. Serial commands may be used to directly set pump flow rates, start/pause, or monitor status. Additional features include control of two solvent-selection valves, multiple timed events, and leak detection.

The Model LP-21 LO-Pulse� pulse damper is a patented wide dynamic range pulse damper designed for use with single piston reciprocating HPLC pumps. It uses 1/4-28 SSI-type fittings and operates up to 6,000 PSI.The LO-Pulse� pulse damper reduces pulsations by compressing a fluid held within the bottom cavity of the unit. This fluid is isolated from the LC mobile phase by a durable but flexible inert diaphragm. As the HPLC system pressure increases, fluid in the bottom chamber is compressed. When the LC pump piston is retracting, the compressed fluid expands maintaining system pressure and, more importantly, keeps the mobile phase flowing at a constant rate. When the system pressure is at its maximum allowable pressure (6,000 PSI), the volume of mobile phase in the LO-Pulse is only 0.9 mL.

The recommended minimum back pressure is 50 PSI for optimum check valve performance. For pumps with a pulse dampener, we recommend a minimum of 500 PSI back pressure. If your application will not provide adequate back pressure, adding tubing for restriction to the outlet of the pump is recommended.

Temperature changes throughout the day, and even drafts in your laboratory can adversely affect results. The H-705 column oven accurately maintains temperature within ± 0.2°C to provide precise control and repeatable results that increase the accuracy and consistency of your chromatography.All critical elements—columns, injector, and precolumns—are enclosed in the oven chamber. Constant temperature is maintained over the entire length of the fluid path. Mobile phase is used as the transfer medium so temperature is unaffected by flow rate. MonoSLEEVE� is the next generation of the original HotSLEEVE controller. With it’s new advanced “Plug-and-Play” technology, MonoSLEEVE can accommodate single HotSleeve Plus column sleeves of different sizes without having to recalibrate to each individual sleeve. The MultiSLEEVE controller is used for applications which require multiple heating zones or multiple LC system heating. Used in conjunction with the HotSleeve Plus heaters, it maintains four independent channels simultaneously and accurately while reducing overall equipment costs.

ECOM FIXED WAVELENGTH

Apatite is a detector with an interference filter. By means of this filter, this unit can be adjusted at one fixed wavelength in range of 200 – 600 nm (optionally up to 800 nm, filter is not included in price). The unit is designed for use in routine analytical chromatography applications.This unit is easy to operate; reference and sample signals are available for detector diagnostics as well as information on lamp working hours. ECOM’S UV 2600/2800 may be used for analytical applications as well as for preparative/flash chromatography, according to the selected cell. It is easy to operate; light intensities for reference and sample channels are available for detector diagnostics as well as information on lamp operating hours. The detector performs automatic wavelength calibration after the lamp has been switched on. High standard deuterium lamp in a special socket enables easy exchange. Output signal is available in both digital and analog form. Detector could be controlled and used together with Clarity or ECOMAC software via RS-232 or Ethernet interface.The flow cell can be easily removed from the front of the unit. The Evaporative Light Scattering Detector ZAM 4000 is an universal detector for HPLC. It is used to analyze components which do not have UV absorption, cannot be separated with an isocratic solvent and must use a gradient elution, which cannot be used with a refractive index detector. Only mobile phases without any buffers should be used.In contrast to other evaporative light scattering detectors all parts of the ZAM 4000 detectors which come in contact with the sample are made of PTFE or glass. By this parts are inert to common solvents and easy to clean. One more advantage of glass parts is the fact that contamination can be located easily. The nebulization takes place in the glass nebulization chamber. From here the aerosol is guided into the evaporation chamber which is made of glass, too. The solvent evaporated and only small sample particles reach the detection chamber. Here this particles pass a beam of bright light. By this the light is scattered in all directions. The scattered light is detected by a photomultiplier in an angel of 120°. The signal is amplified and exported as the detector signal. All parts which get in contact with the sample can be un-mounted and cleaned easily.

Clarity is an advanced Chromatography Data Station (CDS) with optional software modules for data acquisition, data processing, and instrument control. DataApex Clarity

MultiCOM extends the PC by 6 Com ports (RS232). This enables to connect multiple instruments controlled using the RS232 line. Many of the controlled instruments are connected to the PC via serial cables, which need standard 9-pin (male) connector on the computer side. Modern computers usually do not have more than 1 COM port, and notebooks commonly have none. The MultiCOM RS232 to USB converter is connected to the PC via USB port; these are presently common in both desktop PC’s and notebooks.After the installation, the MultiCOM converter will enable the use of six RS232 compliant serial ports ended with standard DB9M connectors. The MultiCOM converter also includes another USB-A connector for the use with any device with low power consumption, for example the Clarity HW key.The power supply for the MultiCOM converter is normally provided via the USB cable from the computer; however external power supply adapter can also be used.

TECH TIPCLARITY CONTROLSControls are software modules that provide an interface with chromatography devices such as Gas Chromatographs, HPLC Pumps, Autosamplers or Valves. Direct control means that the device can be controlled from the Clarity environment. Clarity can store various device methods for each type of analysis and then automatically apply them in a sequence. The control options specific for the controlled device are stored in the measured chromatograms. This ensures traceability of measurement conditions.

The Instrument window is the control center of the whole process of data acquisition and evaluation.

Post-column System Over-pressureA relief valve pre-calibrated to open at 485 PSI prevents rupture of the post-column reactor tubing in the event of downstream blockage, and reduces the possibility that all or part of the reagent flow will be diverted to the column.

Detector Noise, PrecipitationBack-pressure regulator applies 7 bar (100 PSI) to the detector noise and precipitation due to solvent outgassing or boiling adjustable (2 – 10 bar).

TECH TIPPINNACLE DEAD-HEAD PRESSURE TRANSDUCERSome post-column applications call for highly corrosive reagents, which will damage the Pinnacle pressure transducer. We now have a dead-head kit available for the Pinnacle pressure transducer. This will allow you to record the reagent pressure without passing corrosive reagent through the pressure transducer. A dead-head upgrade kit is available or you can purchase a brand new Pinnacle pre-plumbed with the dead-headed pressure transducer.
