the trigger.
1. First disconnect the fuel tank from thefuel line using a 10mm spanner.
2. Remove the tank and dispose of thedirty fuel in a safe method. Clean thefuel tank using hot soapy water toensure all residue is removed.Make sure all traces of water areremoved before replacing.
3. Moving to the fuel filter bowl, unscrew the filter bowl and removealuminium filter.
4. Clean the filter and bowl using hotgwater and screw back into positionensuring that the filter and bowl aredried or blown away with a compressedair supply.
5. Moving to the inline filter, break topand bottom one‐eared clamps andremove inline filter replacing with a newone. Ensure that the arrow is pointingupwards towards pump when replacingfilter. Replace with one‐ear clampsensuring a good seal.
6 Moving on to the fuel pump unscrew6. Moving on to the fuel pump, unscrewthe 2 screws which hold the fuel pumpplate‐where fuel pump sits behind.
7. Pull plate away and check filter.

13. Remove nozzle with a 16mmspanner and remove gasket and replacespanner and remove gasket and replacewith new ones.
14. Clean electrodes with a small pieceof sandpaper If electrodes are damagedof sandpaper. If electrodes are damagedor show sign of movement then replacewith new ones.Electrodes should be set 5 ‐6mm apartand 5‐6mm from the nozzle.
NB – carbon build up on electrodesi l t th ti i th k tinsulates the tips causing the spark tojump across somewhere else leading toignition problems.
15. Whilst burner head is removedcheck the inner lid and cone with a torchfor damage. If damage has occurred toinner lid and cone, stainless steel pan orinner boiler these items will need
l i th ff t th b i freplacing as they effect the burning ofthe boiler. (See How to replace a boiler)

17. Reconnect copper pipe with 8mmspanner ensuring it is tight.
18 Replace HT leads back onto18. Replace HT leads back ontoelectrodes.
19. You will then need to run themachine up to bleed the pump andobtain pressure on the gauge between100‐110 psi to ensure the correct burn.
You can adjust the pressure up anddown using the centre screw which isscrewed into a nut on the front of thefuel pump
The boiler service is complete.
