Types of HLOOKUP

You can lookup value in one of the two following ways:

Range Lookup•  Range lookup is used when you want to search for ranges, it will look for nearest minimum value from the first row of the table.

Exact Lookup• We use this kind of lookups when we need to seek exact value.

SyntaxHLOOKUP(Lookup value,Table array,Row num, Range lookup)

Lookup value is the value to be found in the first row of the table. It can be a number, text or cell address..

Table array  is a range where you want to find your lookup value.

Row num is the row number in table array from which the matching value will be returned

Range lookup  is a logical value that specifies whether you want HLOOKUP to find an exact match or an approximate match.if range lookup is true then it will return you exact match or an approximate matching value. And if range lookup is false it will give you exact match.
