Purpose of InventoryThe purpose of this request is to determine several things: • How many radios does the end-user have? • Are they mobiles, portables, or a mix?• What are the capabilities of the current radios? What features are

active in the radio? The PSERN Team needs this so we make sure the radios retain the same functionality.

    • And of course, we need the quantity of radios you have. This is to make sure we provide a one for one replacement of radios.

Active RadiosRadios being replaced by the Project must be active on the system, which means that it is:• Entered into the Zone Controller• And, able to be used on the radio system. (Can you push-to-

talk and get a triple beep? If you get a continuous bonk, the radio is not active.)

Mobile Radio ConfigurationsAn additional piece of information is the install configuration of mobile radios.• Mobile radios can be dash mount. These radios have the

faceplate/controls of the radio directly attached to the radio.• Trunk or remote mount radios have the faceplate/controls of

the radio separate from the radio unit itself. There is a control cable that connects the two parts.
