Roller blinds are highly adaptable and decorative, but they can easily accumulate dust and dirt over time.

Luckily, cleaning roller blinds is a simple task that requires only a few minutes of your time to keep your window treatments looking their best.

1. Check The Care Label

It is essential that you follow the care instructions of the blinds, to ensure that you are washing your blinds in a way that wont damage them.

2. Remove Blinds From The Window

Remove the roller blinds from the window, and from the roller, so the blinds can lay flat on the floor.

3. Vacuum The Blinds

If the blinds are especially dirty, a preliminary vacuum might be in order.

4. Clean The Blinds

Fill a bathtub about half way with lukewarm water and add about 2-3 tbsp. of dish-washing soap.

Allow the blind to sit in the tub water and soak for approximately 20-30 minutes.

Once the blind is cleaned, drain the soapy water, and add more clean water into the tub to rinse the blind of any remaining soap.

5. Dry The Blinds

Let the blinds completely dry by arranging them on a drying rack, or consider hanging them on a drying line outside.

Reinstall the blinds to the rollers and rehang them over the window.
