HARO integration with Tracky (The unofficial guide)

Page 2: How to change your HARO workflow and become more productive

Typical workflow for source(s):

•  Identify pitch for self, client or peer. –  Self: write pitch or gather

information, email reporter –  Client: Email explanation of

pitch to see if interested, wait for email

–  Peer: Email explanation of pitch, leave ball in their court

•  If client is interested, typically takes two to three emails to finalize pitch prior to sending.

•  If a journalist likes the pitch then the PR rep or source needs to do prep work, schedule an interview or respond to written Q&A.

•  If journalist doesn’t select as source, still need to follow up with client to let them know.

•  When story runs, need to update all involved, thank reporter and share the story via social networks.
