CHANGING THE DIGTIAL SIGNAGE GAME.

“Don't lose sight of

your message and

goals; flashy tech

itself doesn't ensure

success.”STEVE HOLLYSolution Engineer @ Onix

elevate DIGITAL introduced emoji

world at DSE 2015, which created an

unforgettable experience by capturing

attendees who passed by, replacing

their heads with cartoon characters.

As hundreds of attendees stopped to

interact, the motion application

captured facial expressions, traffic

patterns, number of users that

engaged, and offered the ability to

send the experience to social media.

This transcends the capabilities of

traditional digital signage and creates

an entirely new way to measure

engagement.

Additionally, the Motion Experience

Application can be customized by

activation and collect data analytics.

Toshiba's Virtual Dressing

Room was on display at the

Digital Signage Expo 2015.

This one-of-a-kind offering

helps remove any of the

guesswork involved in the

clothes-buying process.

Through its gesture-

controlled interface,

shoppers are capable of

seeing how a particular

garment may fit and

appear – without having to

physically try on the item –

by glancing at a virtual

mirror.

“While one-way digital

messaging can be

compelling and entertaining,

we encourage our customers

to use more interactive

solutions in order to better

engage audiences directly

concerning their brand.”

The Curved MultiTaction iWal

launched at DSE 2015. It is a

modular, customizable

interactive display system

that supports an unlimited

number of concurrent users,

curvatures of up to 360

degrees and widths up to

96 feet.

At DSE, MultiTaction unveiled

this 12 display installation

with a total curvature of 90

degrees.

MultiTaction also showcased

its enriched reality technology

with an air hockey game that

uses real-life paddles on a

digital air hockey table.

The ultra-intuitive user

experience of combining

real-life objects with digital

content will be the next big

thing in corporate information

delivery.

“Always check to see what’s

working in terms of getting

the intended message to the

audience. Don’t be

disappointed if something

doesn’t work from a content

point of view. Check the

measuring data often and

adjust as necessary.”

Since last year’s Digital

Signage Expo and the

introduction of Chrome’s

single app kiosk mode, many

customers and developers

have built digital signage

applications on Chromeboxes.

Chromeboxes are secure,

easy to manage and cost

effective, making them ideal

to display content and

engage customers in any

location.

Chicos chose Chrome to

manage and display content

on over 5,000 screens across

more than 1,500 stores.

There are some big names in digital

signage content management systems

that are showing Chrome interoperability.

It's great to see the CMS developers

including Chrome OS as supported

media devices.

With solutions like Stratos Media, Rise

Vision, Four Winds Interactive, Scala

and more now supporting Chrome

media players, customers looking to

leverage the simplicity of Chrome for

powering digital signage have a lot of

great choices.

And current customers of solutions like

Four Winds Interactive and Scala can

now leverage the power, simplicity and

cost savings of Chrome media players.

“Secure, simple

and convenient cloud

technology will trigger

even more digital

signage adoption by

corporations.”JOHN LAWLER

Google has done more with

the Chrome platform to

make signage even easier,

adding new features that

make it seamless to plan

signage content and manage

device health.

At the DSE 2015, Google

announced the following

features:

4 The Chrome Sign Builder

4 The Chrome APP Builder

4 Ongoing reporting

monitors

In addition, AOPEN — a Google

partner — announced three new

commercial Chrome OS devices

that will add more durability to

digital signage.

By working with AOPEN, Google

can offer more rugged hardware

equipped to handle harsh

conditions — like a hot and

greasy back-of-house food line

at a restaurant.

This is a picture of the Chromebox

Commercial. It is a highly reliable

small-form device that can power

digital displays and vertical

applications such as kiosks or

public transport systems.
