HOME PRODUCE All preserves should be covered with a wax disk and cellophane cover or a new twist on lid. Jars should be labelled with name of preserve and date made. Exhibits will be tasted

SHOW INFORMATION, REGULATIONS AND AWARDS

1. Entries will be accepted on the official entry form not later than 5pm. Thursday before the show, by hand, post or email [email protected] Entry forms can also be downloaded from Coolings website.

2. There are no entry fees. 3. No exhibitor can make more than one entry in a class. 4. Junior classes are open to all children between 5 and 16 years, age to be stated on the entry

form. 5. ALL exhibitors must write the name of their society on their entry form. 6. All exhibits must be staged with their entry card facing downwards (otherwise exhibits with no

card, cannot be judged), Variety name cards where possible should be placed beside the exhibit in horticultural sections.

7. All horticultural exhibits must have been in the exhibitor's possession for at least 3 months prior to the show.

8. No exhibit may be removed until after prize giving. 9. Any necessity to move an exhibit once staged must be carried out by Cooling's show steward. 10. Photography and Art exhibits (Adult & Junior) must be delivered to Cooling's not later than

Thursday before the show in a sealed envelope with exhibitor’s name and class number on the reverse of the photograph.

11. All preparation for staging of horticultural vase exhibits must be carried out in the area provided by Coolings. Flowers and foliage must be staged in Bikini vases supplied by Coolings unless otherwise stated. Exhibits in the flower arrangement section may be previously arranged at home if desired.

12. Staging will be completed before the published judging time. 13. To find the "Best Society" all prize winners in the adult classes will have their lsts, 2nds and 3rds

accumulated under the name of their organisation they have nominated, the society having most first prizes will be the "Best Society", should there be an equal number of firsts', then second prizes will be taken into consideration, should again there be a tie the number of third prizes will be considered. If again it is still tied, there will be Joint winners of the award "Best Society". Cooling's Cup will be awarded to the winners.

14. Judging in the Dahlia, Horticultural, Floral Arrangement, Baking and Produce sections will be under the current rules of the NDS, RHS and W.I. NAFAS respectively. The judges will award up to 3 prizes in each class, but have the right to withhold prizes, depending on the standard of the exhibits.

15. The decisions of the judges as to the relative merits of the exhibits, shall be final. Protests on any other matter should be made in writing before 2 pm after the opening of the show with a £2 deposit that will be returned if protest is upheld.

16. Any exhibit not complying to wording of the schedule will be disqualified and marked N.A.S. (Not according to schedule) on their card, with reason given for the disqualification.

17. All exhibits, personal property etc. will be at the risk of the exhibitor and Cooling's will not be liable for any loss or damage.

18. Coolings will distribute prizes at approx. 3.30pm, in the form of Coolings vouchers for the adult classes and for the junior section there will be money prizes of £3 (1st prize) £2 (2nd prize) and £1 (3rd prize).

19. Coolings will also award Certificates of Merit for the Best exhibit in each section.
