They will need to complete one piece of work per week from these booklets, either on paper provided, or homework sketchbooks. These will be marked once every three weeks. 2. Reflections – students will reflect on their learning from the week. This will be a written piece but can be creative with images to express their understanding. It may be chosen that students reflect on a program (Dragons Den) to develop understanding of a topic (week to complete)

3. Research will form a big part of their independent work and as such this will be completed as homework in support of their lesson (in for the next lesson)

Homework can be set on a chosen date by the teacher to suit the needs of the lessons.

task sheets covering computing theory. Homework should be set once per week and should be completed in a timely manner. The recommended timescale for completion is one week, however this will be at the discretion of the teacher i.e. if a homework is set that will take longer than one week to complete then this will be taken into account when the teacher sets homework and will be recorded in homework diaries for each week it effects. Teachers should not set homework for extended periods of time that does not have regular hand in’s.

Tasks will vary – practise drawins, using sketch-up, analysing buildings, design generation, attending a catch-up session etc… therefore format will vary. All work will receive a mark and be added to prep work folder, marked with H/W in top right corner.

Year 9 To be set once a week on the first available lesson. Homework due in on the next ICT lesson. Homework will be set in relation to the scheme of work / topics studied in lesson to further develop KSU of our current programme od study. Please see the ICT KS4 Curriculum Forecast.

Year 12 & 13 Students will be asked to complete a further 3 hours of their ICT studies. Students will be using their PLCs and lesson resources to help develop their current assignment, which may require investigation, creating digital products, testing, writing up feedback and so on.

Year 10 To support our learners with their ongoing controlled assessment I will give the students the opportunity to research around the scenario and try out their skills before their actual controlled assessment. Actual tasks / activities will vary depending on the group / progress made. I would like to see homework set once a week preferably their last lesson of the week and to be handed in the following week. I would also like to include intervention sessions as part of the homework setting process. Year 11 I will like to give the students the opportunity to research around the assignment brief and try out their skills before their actual ICT lesson. Maths at Greenacre (as the majority of the course is at WGS) 1 hour per week (split over two lessons – as homework given at the end of the session). Students have a disc instead of a text book so the need to complete the textbook questions after each session. Past paper questions also set if appropriate. Homework due in following lesson. Marked in lessons after discussion of any issues that have arisen. Year 9 Termly projects based on different areas of Media i.e. film, magazine, newspaper etc. Year 10 Term 1 – weekly independent research to support learning of topic: Soap Opera (may include being asked to watch soap operas at home). Term 2 – a mixture of independent research and, when appropriate, intervention in order to ensure the completion of controlled assessment: analytical assignment. Term 3 – intervention in order to ensure the completion of controlled assessment: storyboard. Term 4 – intervention in order to ensure the completion of controlled assessment: evaluation. Term 5 – intervention to complete and improved controlled assessments. Term 6 – weekly independent research to support learning of topic: TV comedy (may include being asked to watch TV comedy at home).

Year 12 & 13 (Greenacre Academy only) For the whole year students are expected to complete both individual research for their practical coursework and ensure that all deadlines are met, using intervention as appropriate. (Separate Homework is set by WGS for the examination units).

Terms 2 & 3 – intervention in order to ensure the completion of controlled assessment: practical production and evaluation. Term 4 – weekly revision and/or intervention of exam topic – Action Adventure. Term 5 – weekly revision and/or intervention of exam topic – TV Comedy. Term 6 – weekly revision and/or intervention iof exam topics – Action Adventure / TV Comedy. Where weekly homework is set students should be given one week to complete all tasks set.

GCSE Psychology Homework will be set weekly for a 2 day turnaround. Homework will take up to one hour and will involve practising long answer questions and essays.

BTEC Law Homework will be based on the assignments given with discreet deadlines which are outlined on each assignment brief. Homework may include research in preparation of an assignment and will last up to 3 hours per week. A weekly turnaround will be expected unless outlined on an assignment brief. A Level Psychology Homework will be set weekly for a one week turnaround. Work will be set to last up to 3 hours and will be in a range of formats such as research, essays, exam questions and revision materials.
