This book is an exploration of the idea of a home. The images examine man made and natural nests to investigate the concept of nature verses nurture, whether a good home is something that can be forced or created or if it can only occur naturally and instinctively.

The displacement of the man made nests show them for the sometimes stark constructions that they are and their rehabilitation and assimilation into the environment they were intended for is the defining moment when they will either succeed or fail as a home.
