Holy Week Activities

As we approach Holy Week we have complied a selection of activities that you

may wish to complete as a family. We have chosen a varied selection of

activities so hopefully you will find something that you would like to complete.

❖ Make a Palm Celebrate and discuss Palm Sunday with this simple craft of

handmade palm leaves. All it takes is green paper, sticky tape, a lollystick

and a little hand tracing fun! Palm Sunday is a time when Christians

remember when Jesus rode into Jerusalem on a donkey to celebrate the

Passover meal with His disciples. Crowds of people cast their clothing on

the road and waved palm branches in the air. The palm branches were a

symbol of victory and celebration. As we can’t go to church you could

❖ Create an animation of the Passion of Christ – You could use Scratch,

Purple Mash 2animate or create your own stop frame animation using

events of Holy Week.

❖ Re-enact the last supper with your family. Sit down together and eat a

simple meal. Share Stories from the Gospels (Mt. 26:17–30, Mk. 14:12–26,

Lk. 22:7–39 and Jn. 13:1–17:26).
