August 25 - Our adventure begins as we depart the USA on ourinternational flight to Israel.

August 26 - Our agent will meet us when we arrive in Israel andtake us to our connecting flight to Eilat. We will go to the hotel inEilat for dinner and overnight.

August 27 - We’ll begin our first morning with a drive to the bor-der with Egypt. We’ll cross the border and begin our journeythrough the desert to Mt. Sinai, the site where Moses received theTen Commandments. On the way we’ll stop for a visit at EinHoudra, a spring mentioned in the Bible during the wildernesswanderings. We’ll continue with a drive to a Bedouin camp for avisit there. In this area we will take a tour by a jeep of the nawamis,amazing stone structures built during the time that the Israeliteswandered in this wilderness. We’ll end our day at the hotel at thefoot of Mt. Sinai where we’ll have dinner and overnight.

August 28 - This morning those who would like an adventure willhave the opportunity to climb Mt. Sinai and watch the sunrise fromthe mountain-top. If you want to try it, but don’t really want to hikethe entire way, there will be an option to hire a camel to carry youpart of the way! After scaling the summit of this famous mountain,we will make our way down to visit St. Catherine’s Monastery.This is the place where a Bible from the 6th century was found. Itwas the oldest copy of the Bible until the Dead Sea Scrolls were dis-covered. We’ll continue to Eilat for dinner and overnight.

August 29 - This morning we will drive from Eilat to visit theTimna copper mines where King Solomon mined for copper andturquoise. We will pass the Ramon Crater on our way to BeerSheba where we will visit the site of Abraham’s well. We willremember this from the Bible story when Abraham’s servants dugthe well and Abimelech’s servants filled it with stones. Followingour visit here we will go up to Jerusalem for dinner and overnight.

August 30 - We’ll begin today with a review of the history andarchaeology of Jerusalem. After the review, we’ll go to visit KingDavid’s City where we’ll see remains of First Temple Jerusalemfrom the time of King David until the destruction byNebuchadnezzar. We’ll continue with a visit to the Archaeologicaldigs at the Southern Wall of the Temple Mount. There we’ll seethe steps of the primary entrance to the temple, used by millions ofpilgrims, as well as by Jesus. We’ll go next to the Western WallTunnel for a unique experience of walking along the wall that isunder the city streets of today. We’ll follow the wall to the AntonioFortress, where the trial of Jesus took place. On the way through

the tunnel, we will find ourselves as close as possible to theTemple’s Holy of Holies. Finally, we’ll have time for shopping inthe Cardo before returning to the hotel for dinner and overnight.

August 31 - This morning we’ll begin with a visit to the Mount ofOlives where we’ll see the breathtaking Panoramic View of theOld City of Jerusalem – it never gets old! We’ll walk a part of thePalm Sunday Road to the Church of Dominus Flavit whichcommemorates the time when Jesus wept over Jerusalem. We willcontinue to the Garden of Gethsemane where Jesus went with thedisciples on the final night before his crucifixion. There we’ll havesome time for reflection in the private garden with its ancient olivetrees. We will continue the walk through the Kidron Valley pastAbsalom’s Tomb. We will be able to view the southern and east-ern walls of the Temple platform which meet to form the HighestCorner of the Temple – referred to in the Bible during Jesus’wilderness temptation. From there we’ll go to the House ofCaiaphas where Jesus was imprisoned for a night. Finally we’llreturn to our hotel for dinner and overnight. After dinner we’llhave a testimony meeting with the local Christian ScienceSociety.

September 1 - This morning we’ll go to see the synagogue withthe Chagall stained glass windows depicting the Twelve Tribesof Israel. From there we’ll go to the Jewish Quarter where we’llbegin with a visit in the Herodian Quarter. Here we’ll find acomplex of houses the way they were 2000 years ago at the timeof King Herod the Great. We’ll see the impressive mosaic floorsthat have survived from that time until now. Next we’ll visit theBurnt House where we’ll see amazing evidence of the burning ofJerusalem by the Romans in 70 AD. From there we’ll go to theJerusalem Museum where we will walk through the major peri-

ods in the history of Jerusalem from Canaanite times until today.We’ll walk the ramparts of the Old City Walls from the Jaffagate to the Zion gate. We’ll view the old and new areas of the cityof Jerusalem from the top of the wall which was built by SultanSuleiman the Magnificent in 1517. Finally, we’ll have some timefor shopping in the Arab Market before we return to the hotel fordinner and overnight.

September 2 - Today we’ll begin with a visit to the Elah Valley,the site of the battle between the Israelites and Philistines thatended with the famous confrontation between David and Goliath.Next we’ll go to Bet Shemesh, one of the towns of the tribe ofJudah on the border with the Philistines. It was to this city that thestolen Ark of the Covenant was returned. We will continue toEmmaus to visit the Byzantine church and monastery there. Thisis one of the possible sites of the encounter between Jesus and twoof his followers after the resurrection. From there we’ll go to NeotKedumim, a beautiful garden with plants and trees from the Bibleand exhibits that enhance our understanding of life in Bible times.We’ll continue on our way to Tiberias to our hotel on the shoresof the Sea of Galilee for dinner and overnight.

September 3 - This morning we’ll drive to Chorazin where wewill see the remains of a Jewish town from Jesus’ time which ismentioned in the New Testament. Afterwards we’ll go to the east-ern banks of the Jordan River to visit Beth Saida, the town ofPeter and Andrew, which is now undergoing an archaeological digin which Olene and Nancy participated. We’ll continue to visit aTalmudic Village. From there we’ll travel to Tel Dan, a beautiful

nature reserve where one of the three tributaries of the JordanRiver begins. Here we’ll see a fascinating complex of gates fromvarious time periods. We’ll continue to Magdala, the town ofMary Magdalene, and on to the Rock of Arbel, the cliff above theSea of Galilee with an outstanding view of the area, including theancient Via Maris. Finally, we’ll return to the hotel to rest beforegoing to a local restaurant for dinner.

September 4 - Today we'll awaken early to watch the sunrise andto celebrate the Morning Meal on the Galilean shore. We'll startour day of touring with a visit to Bet She'an to see this fascinatingarchaeological dig of the Roman city. This amazing site changesdaily with new discoveries and restorations. Near this city, thePhilistines defeated King Saul and the Israelites. He and his sonswere killed in this battle. This site was continuously inhabited for5000 years. Next we'll visit Sepphoris, the center of Jewish stud-ies and Roman life in the lower Galilee at the time of Jesus. Thistown was only 3 miles from the small village of Nazareth and pos-sibly the place where Jesus studied as a child. There we'll see amagnificent mosaic floor of a Roman home, a Crusader's castlewith a beautiful view, and a small theater. This visit will alsoenable us to have a sense of the area where Jesus grew up. Afterthe visit here we will stop at Gideon's Spring at the foothills ofthe Gilboa Mountains. This is the place where Gideon defeatedthe Midianites in the famous battle. From there we'll return to thehotel for our Farewell Dinner and overnight.

September 5 - We will begin our last day of touring with a visit toBeit Shearim, a Jewish town from the second century AD. We'llvisit the cave cemetery which will help with our understanding ofthe burial customs at the time of Jesus. We'll continue to Caesareaby the Sea to visit the new archaeological digs at this Roman portcity where Paul stood trial and was imprisoned two years. This isalso where Peter shared the Gospel with Cornelius. From therewe'll proceed to the airport to check in for our return flight. We'llhave dinner on the flight and a stop in Europe for overnight.

September 6 - We will depart on our flight to the USA, filled withnew insights and understandings of the Bible and the life and landof Jesus.

PROGRAM CONDITIONS

INCLUDED IN PRICE OF STANDARD PROGRAM: Round trip airfare, transfers with group to/from airport;shared double room in first-class hotel; two meals daily; English speaking guide; transfer to and entrance fees for sitesto be visited.

NOT INCLUDED IN PRICE: Tips of $200 to be collected on first day of tour and distributed by tour operator;Single room charges (see below); Additions or changes to the standard program (see below); individual transfers; trav-el insurance; laundry, coffee and drinks; excess baggage and items of a personal nature.

PAYMENT SCHEDULE: Deposit of $500 due May 1, with registration. Balance due June 8.

SINGLE ROOMS: When available, single rooms are often smaller than doubles. Single room supplement is $500.

ROOMMATES: You will be charged for a single room if you do not have a roommate and/or Omega Travel cannotmatch you with one.

MEALS: Buffet breakfast and set menu dinner daily. All other meals are “on your own”.

LUGGAGE: Limit of one suitcase and one carry-on per person, not to exceed 70 pounds or 62 inches total.

TRANSFERS: Transport between airport, hotel and piers is included in the standard program. However, those whorequest changes from standard program are responsible for their own transfers even when coinciding with group trans-fers.

CHANGES FROM STANDARD PROGRAM: Changes must be requested and approved in writing by OmegaTravel. A minimum of $150 will be charged and transfers to/from airports, etc. are not included.

AIRLINE TICKETS: Printed 45 days prior to departure, tickets cannot be changed or refunded thereafter. Air trans-portation to/from your European destination will be jet economy class aboard IATA and ARC carriers utilizing APEXor SUPER APEX non-refundable, non-amenable tickets forgroups of 10 or more passengers flying together for entire itiner-ary.

FLIGHT TIMES: Subject to change by airlines withoutadvance notice. Omega Travel is not responsible for suchchanges or delays and does not reimburse expenses resultingfrom such delays.

ITINERARY LENGTH: Because airlines often change flightschedules after brochures are printed, Omega Travel reserves theright to shorten or lengthen the itinerary accordingly and, when-ever possible, you will be notified in writing. If changes necessi-tate extra overnights, there will be additional charges.

CANCELLATION FEES: From the day of registration to 120days prior to departure the $100 non-refundable registration fee isthe only charge. Thereafter, the following charges apply: 119-90 days: $500; 89-60 days: 50% of total cost; 59-45 days: 75%of total cost; 44 days to day of departure: 100% of total cost. Allrefund claims must be received in writing.

INSURANCE: Omega Travel strongly recommends cancella-tion and trip insurance to cover the above fees. The cost for insur-ance for this tour based on double occupancy is $225.

STATEMENT OF RESPONSIBILITYOmega Travel agrees to provide the itinerary described in this brochure,and this represents the entire agreement between the passenger and hisagent, the Tour Host, and the Tour Operator.No changes or deviations are effective unless approved in writing andsigned by an authorized officer of the tour operator. Except as stated here-in, no person is authorized to cancel, modify, or vary the tour arrangementsor to make any representation of warranty concerning the tour.All prices, itineraries and schedules are subject to regulations and changesthereof by acts of Government, International Agreement and Airline tariffadjustments, rules and regulations.Omega Travel reserves the right to change or withdraw the tour, in wholeor in part at any time. In the event of a change, the sole exclusive obliga-tion of Omega Travel will be to refund pro rata any payment received. Inthe event of rescheduling of the tour due to unforeseen circumstances, thecancellation and refund clause will apply. Omega Travel may decline toaccept or retain any individual as a participant on the tour at any time.
