Hollywood Bowl launches its offi cial season w ith Opening

Night at the Bowl, featuring the Hollywood Bowl Hall of

Fame concer t . #e 2010 inductees are Donna Summer, the

Car penters (accepted by R ichard Car penter), and Jean-

Yv e s #ibaudet. Multiple Grammy-winning

musician/composer/producer Herb Alpert will induct the

Carpenters in this fun-$l led gala , which culminates in a

An exciting , v ibrant performer and a cultural pop icon,

Donna Summer $rst sold out the Bowl in 1979 and sold it

out again as recently as 2008. She i s one of a smal l group

#e Carpenters’ relationship with the Hollywood Bowl dates
