    Hospital Management System Registration

The Registration module is an integrated patient

    management system,which captures complete and

relevant patient information. The system automates the

patient administration functions to have better and

    efficient patient care process

    PATIENT REGISTRATION DETAILS

    Medical Alerts Details

    Appointment Scheduling

    Doctor's Schedule Summary

    Doctors Daily Schedule List

    Patient Visit History

    Medical Record Movements

Appointments for Radiology testsPatient Visit SlipSponsorship Details

It provides for enquiries about the patient, the patient's

location, Admission, and appointment scheduling and

discharge details. Furthermore, this system even takes

care of package deals for a patient for a fixed cost. Medical

Record keeps an abstract of clinical data about patients. It

    FEASIBILITY STUDY:-

It means to carry out the detailed study of the existing

system, find out the problem related to

technical, operational staff, and economical field like cost by

concerning the user of the study proposal of the proposed

system (i.e.creditor ledger) is accepted by the

management it will lead to the investigations of theexisting system of problem area. Having recognized the

problem, the next step to carry overall analysis of the

system requirement in terms of its:

    The input data

    Type of processing needed

    The output reports

This need a detailed study of the proposed system, which is

carried out by the following technique

    Interviews

    Questionnaires

    Observation

This would help to have an in depth study of the existing

system and understand the Strength and weakness and

requirement of the new proposed system.

Three phase of the feasibility study is used :

    Technical feasibility

    Economic feasibility

    Consumer behaviour

    Technical Feasibility: -

    Clearly we need not bother

about the technical feasibility because there is so such

utility available that can easily handle the problem statedabove.

    There are many options to

choose from while making a utility or the analysis of Java

    source code.

Firstly we need to define the implementing language.

For developing the under taken utility, the software

    requirements are:

    13

  • 7/31/2019 Hms ASHI MainPRoject

    14/58

    1. Tomcat,MS ACCESS or SQL SERVER2.Notepad3. Windows xp Operating System

All these are available in our institute I.E.M.

For developing the under taken Static Reverse Engineering

for Java source code, the hardware requirements are:

    1. Processor - Intel or equivalent.2. Operating System Windows xp3. RAM - At least 256 MB

The above hardware configuration with the operating

system is technically feasible and common to a general

    computer system.

    Economic Feasibility: -

    The resources required to

implement the system are easily availably and economic

in cost and the implement system produces fast,

effective and accurate information which involves less

    human resources.

    Customer Behavior: -

    User (here a programmer)

nowadays wants fast utilities in order to work in a very

efficient and effective manner. The utility we are

    14

  • 7/31/2019 Hms ASHI MainPRoject

    15/58

developing will help a user in his work.

Our system is designed in such a way that a user can

implement & use the system easily and can interact with

    the system easily.

    The Graphical environment of

the system is easily understandable for a user and attracts

    the user.

    FEASIBILITY ANALYSIS REPORT

    solve the

    Problem.

    SYSTEM ANALYSIS:-

    .

Systems Development can generally be thought of ashaving two major components: Systems Analysis and

Systems Design. Systems Design is the process of

planning a new business system or one to replace or

complement an existing system. But before this planning

can be done, we must thoroughly understand the old

system and determine how computers can best be used (if

at all) to make its operation more effective. Systems

analysis, then, is the process of gathering and interpreting

facts, diagnosing problems, and using the information to

    recommend improvements to the system.

    2.1 PROPOSED METHODS AND PROCEDURE

    2.2.1 Summary of Improvements

In this section, we discuss the improvements, which

are held after developing the system. And we

consume how we will achieve the functional

    19

  • 7/31/2019 Hms ASHI MainPRoject

    20/58

improvements. There are various factors due to which

we can show the improvements, some of the

    improvements are as follows-

1:The first improvements that comes, which is it isless time consuming. Due to new system, there isless paper work.2:The most striking improvement is that it increasesthe accuracy and makes data more validate

    2.2.1.2. Improvement to Existing

    Capability:-

There are various improvements that areintended to the existing capability. Since at

beginning the work that are done, is totally

manually but when the system is computerized

then it becomes a time saving technique and

the all the records are maintained in the very

less time than the manual system and theremay be taken a short idea in few minute of all

work and we also find the various patient

available in hospital that can not be done in

manually work and for this work there will be

various register that are maintained. The error

rate is very low. Some point are as follow:-

1:Gather information about patient in hospital.

    20

  • 7/31/2019 Hms ASHI MainPRoject

    21/58

2:Document the specific details of every aspect ofthe

project, focusing on design and Functionality3

:Execute the project according to thespecificationdocument created during the Design stage.

    2.3 DETAILED CHARACTERISTICS:

2.3.1:- Specific Performance RequirementsDescribe the specific performance requirements for the

system as a whole and for major functions or subsystems

within it. Delineate the requirements on which the system

design will be based. Include a quantitative presentation

of requirements, such as the number of events that must

be processed, maximum allowable time from query to

receipt of requested information, and flexibility required to

    accommodate changing user requirements.

2.3.1.1:- Accuracy and ValidityDescribe the accuracy requirements to be imposed on the

    system. Accuracy requirements of mathematical

calculations and data must be considered

    2.3.1.2:- Timing

Describe the online and/or batch timing requirements to

be imposed on the system. Consider the following

    requirements:

    21

  • 7/31/2019 Hms ASHI MainPRoject

    22/58

1:Response time from receipt of input data to

availability of system products.2:Response time to queries and updates3:Sequential relationship of functions4:Priorities imposed by types of input and changes inmodes5:Any deviations from specified response times forpeak load

periods or contingency operations, as applicable

    2.3.1.3:- Capacity Limits

Specify the maximum numbers of transactions, storage

requirements, concurrent users, or any other quantifiable

information about capacity requirements placed on the

system. Identify changes to capacity limits resulting from

varying modes of operation. Include peak load limits andissues.

    2.3.3:- External interface requirements

In this subsection give the details of the following

    2.3.3.1:- Hardware interfaces

    2.4:- Functional requirements

Describe by individual function the major functional

processing steps. This may be done using graphic

representation (e.g., flowchart and DFD) or descriptive usecases. Provide enough detail to support development of

    design specifications

    23

  • 7/31/2019 Hms ASHI MainPRoject

    24/58

    2.4.1:- System Flow Charts

The production flowchart is a visual representation of thecontent of the sequence of the content of your product. It

show what comes first, second, third etc. as well as your

audience will do, if anything, and what will happen when

they have done it. A completed flowchart organizes your

topics; strategies, treatments & options into a plan from

which you can work out the details of what each screen,

page, or shot will look like.

    2.4.2:- Data flow diagram

The Data Flow Diagram (D.F.D.) was first developedby Larry Constantine as a way of expressing system

requirements in a graphical form. D.F.D. represents

what data flow rather than how they are processed.

D.F.D. knows as bubble chart, has a purpose of

clarifying system requirements and identifying major

transformation that will become the programs in

    system designs.

A D.F.D. consists of a series of bubbles joined by lines.

The bubble represents data transformation & line

represents the data flow in the system.

    24

  • 7/31/2019 Hms ASHI MainPRoject

    25/58

    D.F.D. Symbols

1.A square defines a source or destination ofsystem data.

2.An arrow identifies data flow, data in motion.

3.A circle or bubble represents the process.

4.An open rectangle represents data source.

It does not depend on hardware, software, data structure

    of file organization.

    Verification And Validation

In verification and validation we are most concerned with the

correctness of the software .The terms verification and validation

often used interchangeable but they have different meaning.

Verification is the process of determining whether or not theproducts of given phase of s/w development fulfill the

specification established during the previous phase.

Verification activities include proving, testing and reviews.

Validation is the process of evaluating s/w at the end of the

s/w development to ensure compliance with the s/w

requirements.Testing is common method of validation.

Clearly, for high reliability we need to perform both activities

.Together they are often called V&V activities.

The major V&V activities for the s/w development are inspection

,reviews ,and testing. The V&V plan identifies the different phasesand specifies how these task contribute to the project V&V goals.

The two major V&V projects are testing and inspection. Testing

    and inspection.

Testing is an activity that can be generally performed on code . It

is an important activity. Inspection is a more general activity

that can be applied to any work product, including code.
