Gary Pezzuti of Summit Group has spent the past 40+ years as a Placement Professional serving most of the manufacturing sector and specializing in "Contingency Search" and "Interim Professionals". He has observed evolutionary changes in hiring procedures as well as the emergence of numerous "magical marketing techniques". And while there are no magic pills, Gary has developed an efficient method of teaching candidates more effective ‘real life’ presentation techniques... satisfying the desires of the candidates as well as fulfilling the requirements of the position and the expectations of the hiring authorities.

In addition, Gary has been a member of APICS since 1981; presently serves as Treasurer for Central Jersey APICS, Secretary for West Jersey APICS and Treasurer for North Jersey APICS. Executive Message: New Opportunities – In 2008 I received an email about APICS and decided to attend a meeting to learn more about the organization and how it would help broaden my network. I learned that Supply Chain Management is an important role in all organizations and many employers’ value individual’s that have experience and certification in Supply Chain. The CPIM certification program which is offered by APICS is an excellent way for an individual to increase their marketability to employers and expand his/her knowledge base with Supply Chain Management. In 2009, I enrolled in the first of the five CPIM courses for certification – The Basics of CPIM and continued with the program until 2012 when I successfully passed my last CPIM test involving the SMR module – Strategic Management Resources. Along my journey toward certification, I continued attending APICS PDM meetings and joined the Central Jersey chapter as a Board Member. CPIM certification has opened new career opportunities, expanded my Supply Chain network and increased my value to employers. I recommend CPIM certification to all those pursuing a Supply Chain career, weather you are just starting out or have years of experience.
