BRAHMA
- Depicted with four heads, four faces, four arms
- Four heads symbolize ability to see all corners and places in universe (all seeing)
- Four faces symbolize source of all knowledge necessary for the creation of the universe and the sacred knowledge of the four Vedas (all knowing)
- Four castes originated from his body
- He carries…. A rosary (time cycle of creation), a book (the Vedas), water pot (filled with water from Ganges)
- Stands or sits on a lotus (creative power)
- He is worshipped by seekers of knowledge such as students, teachers, scholars and scientists*Also considered above worship by some so few temples to him

Lord of the dance – halo of fire (represents samsara), dwarf (ignorance and human pride), drum (time), flame of destruction, purification and renewel, tiger skin loin cloth (strength), snake (power over evil forces)*he destroys sins of believers and leads them to redemption*must look at the evil as well as the good in the world*suffering so there can be good

- Blue body – colour of sky and oceans… symbolize infinity
- Yellow clothes – symbol of earth and earthly incarnations

- goddess of peace, loving, kind, gentle- loyal and loving wife- holds a lotus in one hand and the mudra (hand gesture) is offering protection or gifts- symbolizes virtues of fertility, devotion tospouse, asceticism and power

LAKSHMI
Wife of Vishnu- goddess of beauty, wealth, good fortune
- she provides Vishnu with wealth
- Always standing or sitting on lotus with goldcoins pouring from hand- pink lotus, pink sari, represents kindness
- Hindus pray for her when need help withmoney (especially during Divali when theywish for a prosperous new year)
