RATA FOOD AND CULTURAL DRESS DAY

This term the children in Rata syndicate have been learning about the different ways people celebrate special occasions in our school community. They held a Cultural dress and food sharing day on Tuesday and it was great to see so many parents and grandparents coming along too. The children came dressed in their special clothes and they were able to sample different foods from a range of cultures.

This year we were lucky enough to take 3 teams to the football zones at Eden Park. We were in for an extra treat as the Fifa Womens world

cup was there for us to see, we got lots of prizes and were able to speak to some of the international players. All of our teams did extremely well winning most games that were played.

We would like to acknowledge the Store Manager of Countdown Onehunga Alex who generously donated towards our last School BBQ and has donated bread for our school towards kid’s school lunches. We also appreciate Karina Wong’s hard work towards receiving this trolley load for our school. Thankyou.
